When doors open for us, we not only gain an opportunity, but also a chance to open doors for others. This was at the heart of our discussion during Construction Inclusion Week this year, where team members came together to explore this year's theme: Opening Doors, Building a Workplace for Everyone.

GLY employees shared stories about opportunities that helped shape their careers, along with examples of how they actively create opportunities and open doors for others. It was incredible to learn more about the different paths that brought everyone to where they are today and to hear the insights they gained along the way.

For more than a decade, Team GLY has proudly supported the Walk to End Alzheimer's. On October 3, we will lace up our walking shoes once again and join thousands of others at Seattle Center to honor those living with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia, remember those we've lost, support the caregivers who stand beside them every day, and raise awareness for a disease that impacts millions of families.

The Alzheimer's Association is a lifeline for many families, connecting them with resources, support, and hope while funding research that moves us closer to ending Alzheimer's.

Last Friday, Team GLY took to the water for the 2026 Clean Lake Union Paddle Race, joining community partners in support of Clean Lake Union's mission to improve water quality and protect our local waterways. It was a fun afternoon of teamwork, friendly competition, and giving back to one of the places that makes Seattle such a great place to live and work.
