Employee Appreciation Post!!!
I’ve been blessed with great staff here at ScAIR Force Falconry. And I appreciate everyone who works hard to make ScAIR Force great! But I want to give a special thank you to Harold James.
4 years ago, when I started this company, Harold was on my short list of falconers that I wanted to employ. I’d known Harold for about 10 years already, and in my opinion he’s one of the best falconers in the country, and has a particular gift for Accipters (goshawks).
When I first approached him about working for us, he turned me down! It is a dream job for any dedicated falconer. But at that time I could only promise him seasonal work.
Several months later, ScAIR Force was growing fast and I was in desperate need of good help. So I made Harold an offer that I don’t usually make to others. I promised him that no matter what, I would pay him a salary for 1 year.
This was the commitment that Harold needed, and he left a good job with decent insurance to take a chance with ScAIR Force! It’s been 3 years now, and he has given us more than we could ask for in his dedication to doing his job. He’s handled one of my most important contracts, by himself, without fail, and always professional.
I’m going to stop now, caus I don’t want anyone trying to poach him! But thank you Harold. You’re a great employee, falconer, and friend!
