🧱 What I Hide Inside the Walls | Ep. 1

Every contractor has their own traditions.

Recently I watched a movie where a builder left small pebbles inside every home he built. I liked the idea so much that I started my own tradition.

Before the walls are closed, I take an instant photo of the project, buy a local newspaper from that day, and place both inside the wall.

Then I make a second copy of the photo and keep it.

One stays with the house.

One stays with me.

Maybe years from now, another contractor will open that wall during a remodel and discover a small piece of history.

And someday, my kids will be able to look through every matching photo and see the story behind every home I helped build.

I hope whoever finds it smiles 🥹📸

I recently visited one of the homes featured in this investigation, and what I saw was heartbreaking.

According to a KING 5 News Investigation, a group posing as contractors is believed to be behind one of Washington State’s largest home improvement scams, with homeowners reportedly losing millions of dollars.

One of the victims, an 85-year-old homeowner, reportedly lost nearly $300,000 after being pressured into paying for unnecessary construction work.

If you recognize anyone featured in this investigation, or know someone who may have been approached by this group, please contact your local law enforcement.
