This is my 8th year growing cut flowers so we’re gonna use the number 8 for our special. All day Saturday, August 22, cut your own bouquet for only $8.00!! (jars extra)

What do gardeners do on rainy days? Some days they go plant shopping. Other days they make flower arrangements just for fun.

I look at every flower with the critical eye of a cut flower grower, and as I go about the garden pulling weeds and doing general maintenance I often wish I had more time to play around and make random arrangements.

For this one I used an aged Invincibelle Spirit ll hydrangea bloom as the base. It satisfied one of my creative urges 😂🩷🧡

It’s always a great idea to cut flowers in the morning, but even more so on really hot days like we’re having now!! I won’t chase anyone away on hot afternoons, but just know that your freshly cut flowers may not last as long in the vase.
The best thing you can do when it’s hot is get your flowers in cool water ASAP, first of all stripping all the lower leaves so the water can zoom right up to the bloom 🌸🌼✂️💧

22” tall and 5 1/2” blooms of the most luscious blend of melon and pink. Reblooming. She’s gorgeous!!
