After several years of making records and touring Chris left that circus and started a career in the film industry in Ne

w York. Working his way up in several set shops, as a Carpenter, Painter, and Decorator, eventually Designing and taking on his own clientele. Crank Yankers and Comedy Central brought Chris to Los Angeles 12 years ago. He has firmly planted his feet in Southern California, heading back to NY occasionally for projects. Chris Giammalvo is a Local 800 Production Designer and Art Director and always interested in taking on new projects and challenges.

Last summer we were brought on by Christian Zollenkopf to fabricate the set for an NBA 2k spot featuring Spike Lee and several NBA and WNBA players. The spot shot in Chicago and we had a solid week to get everything built and prepped before me sending it half way across the country on a semi. Chris met up with the set and a great local crew to get the set up and running for the multi day shoot. Then we put it all back on a truck and sent it back to LA.
