It didn’t start out pretty, but it sure ended that way!

Backstory: An existing client called us in a bind. She purchased a sauna online that looked great in the photos, but when it arrived the build quality was not what she expected or paid for. Instead of living with it, she called us.

We were able to step in and tighten up the construction, make key structural and roof improvements, extend the concrete patio pad for better placement on her property, and coordinate the electrical work.

This is the part of the job people do not always see. Fixing problems, correcting poor workmanship, and making sure a finished project is safe, solid, and built to last.

Grateful for repeat clients who trust us to make it right.

This custom deck needed to go from concept to craftsmanship quickly. It includes an integrated stargazing net, sunken hot tub, and seamless framing around an ÖÖD mirror cabin and matching sauna.

This one started as a mess but it’s ending strong! Swipe to see different angles of this almost finished custom deck and compare how it looks now to the before photos.

Backstory: Our client was left hanging after a “carpenter” took on this complex deck project that they weren’t qualified or equipped for.

Some materials were already on site and framing started, but nothing was plumb, level or up to code and cuts were crooked and sloppy.

We stepped in, corrected the structure and brought this unique vision back on track. Featuring a sunken hot tub and a built-in stargazing hammock, and framing a very unique ÖÖD Mirror Cabin and matching sauna, this project was anything but “just a deck.”

Stair and deck railing is all that’s left then it’s a wrap!🙌

PSA: Complex decks take real planning, time, and experience. Don’t underestimate the process, and be careful who you hire has the right skills and knowledge.

Creative design meets function in this custom black walnut spice rack/wine glass display/pot holder that was crafted for both beauty and utility. Built to match a longtime client’s specific vision and needs, it was transported across the country and now adds a unique aesthetic and everyday practicality to their kitchen.

It’s always nice to be able to fit in smaller jobs for nice folks when there’s a gap between larger projects. This deck was done for a client that we met in an aisle at Lowe’s and we kept in touch with, and when we had a last-minute opening on the calendar we quickly mobilized to help her with a couple projects. Clutch Bozeman Member Spotlight: Derhammer Built

Hi everyone, we’re Levi and Megan Derhammer and we own and operate Derhammer Built, a small construction company that provides custom carpentry and residential reconstruction services, and now also offers small log cabins (think tiny homes but cooler, more durable, and more Montana!) that can be customized and delivered throughout Montana and nearby states. As a family-owned construction company, our values are deeply rooted in everything we do. We pride ourselves on being honest and transparent with our clients, we believe good communication is the cornerstone of successful projects, and we have a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

Levi has over 25 years of construction experience. Before forming his own company, he most recently worked as a foreman for commercial and residential contractors. Megan recently pivoted her career in nonprofit management to take the entrepreneurial leap with Levi. She wears a lot of hats in support of the office side of the business and is the designer and project manager for the log cabin builds. When not working, we love spending time with our two sons and taking advantage of Montana’s many recreational opportunities (snowboarding, fishing, camping, hiking, hunting, and golfing are among the favorites) as well as raising goats and pigs.
