What is a manufactured home? 🏡

A manufactured home is a factory-built home constructed to federal HUD standards, then transported to its homesite for installation.
And no, we’re not talking about the “mobile homes” people tend to picture from decades ago!

Today’s manufactured homes can offer:
✨ Open-concept layouts
✨ Spacious kitchens and islands
✨ Large windows and vaulted ceilings
✨ Walk-in closets and luxury bathrooms
✨ Porches and exterior upgrades
✨ A wide range of finishes and customization options

They’re built indoors in a controlled environment, delivered to your property, and installed as part of a complete home project that can include permitting, site development, utilities, foundation work, delivery, and finishing.

One important distinction: manufactured and modular homes aren’t the same thing. Manufactured homes are built to the federal HUD Code, while modular homes are built to state and local building codes.
