Finished this project yesterday. A friend bought a new home and the living area was solid white and bland. We added shiplap planking, trimmed it out, and painted it Midnight Shadow. Then installed a wood mantle, stained it using Dark Walnut station, and added a gloss poly finish. Turned out very well. And she was extremely pleased. Finished up this project yesterday just before the rain moved in. Replaced the deck boards and lattice on his existing deck and then screened it in so he could enjoy more time out there. Matched the existing roofline to make it look almost seamless. Even installed a dog door for his dogs next to the screen door. He was well pleased with the final product, as was I. Finished up this small project for a gentleman today. He called and said he had started remodeling a basement bathroom, but due to health issues, he couldn't finish it. I installed beadboard paneling on the walls, trimmed it out nicely, and framed up and trimmed out his new wider doorway for easier access. Then painted it all. Turned out quite well. Another completed project! Some friends recently bought a house in Shelbyville. The previous owners had LVP flooring put through the entire house a few years ago, except for the closets. They left the nasty carpet. New owners wanted the carpet gone. Thanks to some excellent assistance from Mrs. Tammy at Extreme Flooring, we found a very close match for the discontinued flooring. I had a customer reach out because squirrels were chewing through her eave and getting into her attic. She asked if I could help repair the damage and seal it back up. I said, "Absolutely!!" Also found that the trim between her brick chimney and siding was coming loose, so we fixed that and sealed it back up as well. That should keep those pesky critters out for a while. Finished up this complete demo and replacement of a tiled walk-in shower just before the holidays. Severe water damage due to incomplete water proof membrane under original tile. Rotten floor joists, subfloor, and wall framing, along with water soaked drywall and cement board. Pleased with the end result. Call me for your next remodel/upgrade project.
