Another project completed and this one turned out great! 👏🏽

This home received a full roof replacement which was upgraded from old 3-tab shingles with 80mph wind rating to a more durable Owen's Corning laminate shingle with 130 MPH wind resistant rating.

Another great transformation in the books. 💪🏠
When we first got involved on this project, the insurance carrier only wanted to pay for replacement of the front slope. After further investigation, we were able to identify that the existing shingle had been discontinued and could not be properly mixed with any currently manufactured shingles. By presenting that documentation, we were able to help secure approval for a full roof replacement instead of a patchwork repair.
Once tear-off began, we uncovered 3 layers of shingles along with spaced decking that did not provide a proper nailing surface for the new roofing system. We then worked directly with the carrier again to obtain approval for a full OSB deck-over so the new roof could be installed the right way.
This is why experience matters. It’s not just about putting shingles on a roof—it’s about knowing how to protect the homeowner, document hidden issues, and fight for a complete and proper restoration.
Huge shoutout to our production crew and office staff for getting this one approved, installed, and taken care of for our client. 👏

We wanted to highlight one of the many homes impacted by the February 19th tornado that moved through Bloomington, Indiana. This property was one of five homes we had the privilege of restoring after the storm.

From severe structural damage and emergency mitigation to the final rebuild, this project was a full transformation. Our team worked diligently to secure the home, coordinate the restoration process, and rebuild it stronger and better than before.

These photos show the journey—from the immediate aftermath of the storm, to temporary protection and stabilization, all the way to the finished product with a fully restored exterior and renewed curb appeal.

Here at Mattox Roofing & Restoration, we handle all types of roofing systems, but what truly sets us apart is the long-term support and service we provide to apartment complexes and property management companies.

Many multifamily properties operate with separate maintenance budgets that are carefully managed year over year. Large capital expenses like full roof replacements often require time, planning, and reserved funds. That’s where consistent, reliable repair work plays a critical role. By addressing small issues early and performing proper, targeted repairs, we help extend the life of existing roof systems and give management teams the time they need to plan and budget for a full replacement the right way.

This particular apartment complex is one we’ve proudly serviced for several years. Throughout that time, we’ve completed ongoing maintenance and strategic repairs to keep the flat roof system functioning and protected, allowing the ownership group to responsibly allocate funds and prepare for a complete roof replacement in the future- which we are completing today.

We’re putting the finishing touches on a Bloomington property that we’ve proudly showcased in the past. This home was severely impacted by a tornado back in May 2025, leaving the property extensively damaged and the homeowner facing a long road to recovery. After a difficult and drawn-out process with insurance, we worked closely to ensure the homeowner was properly indemnified so the property could truly be restored to its pre-loss condition — and in many ways, brought back even better than before.

This project required a full scope rebuild across multiple areas of the property. The work included a brand-new roof, siding, columns, structural framing/ reinforcement, and the construction of a new 70x40 pole barn, along with numerous other repairs and improvements throughout. A tremendous amount of planning, coordination, and craftsmanship went into every phase of this build.

Projects like this are about more than construction — they’re about helping homeowners rebuild after devastating events and restoring a sense of normalcy. We’re proud to be nearing completion and excited to share the final transformation.

This project is a perfect example of how we’re not just a roofing company—we’re a full-service restoration and remodeling team committed to rebuilding homes the right way.

This home had been neglected by the previous owner, and our client wanted to bring it back to life—and that’s exactly what we did. We completed a full interior remodel, removing all flooring and subfloor down to the floor joists due to long-term pet damage and unlevel floors, then rebuilding the home from the ground up. The layout was upgraded from a 1.5 bath to a full 2-bath, along with all new cabinets, countertops, appliances, updated electrical and plumbing throughout. We also installed a brand-new HVAC system including furnace, condenser, and all new ductwork, plus an on-demand hot water system for improved efficiency and comfort. To finish it off, we completed exterior improvements including, light landscaping and tree removal, a new roof, new gutters and downspouts, a new privacy fence, a new 4-ft front yard fence, and concrete work. Another property restored and ready for its next chapter.
