Congratulations to Indy Parks and Recreation for the big wins at the Monumental Affair event for Riverside Adventure Park! So proud to be part of the team leading the landscape architecture and site design for the River Zone and Racing Zone working in conjunction with HCO, as well as V3 Companies and Myers Construction and a host of other consultants and contractors to make this happen. We were excited for the project and the team to win the Landscape Architecture category, and honored to take the Monumental Award as the best project in all categories! A fantastic project providing wonderful, unique recreation opportunities for the community.

Yesterday we had fun digging in the dirt with our friends at Hamilton County Parks and Recreation! They let us join in the fun of planting thousands of native plant plugs in the raingardens we designed at Seven Streams Park. Green infrastructure like this raingarden helps naturally filter and slow stormwater, while native plants create essential habitat that support the local wildlife community. What a joy it will be to see this raingarden fill with life and color over the next few years!

Our first Biergarten at the Fountains since the restoration was such a hit that we ran out of b**r! We loved seeing so many new and familiar faces, so we’re bringing it back for a special bonus Biergarten. 🍻

Thanks to we're offering a bonus Biergarten event Tuesday September 15, from 6:00 –8:00 p.m. for a free, family-friendly evening featuring live music, food, drinks and, of course, the beautiful fountains.

Please RSVP for your free ticket so we can plan accordingly and keep the b**r flowing. While you’re registering, consider making a donation to help keep the fountains flowing, too!

Fun office outing at the ballpark this afternoon. Indians with a 2-1 victory over the IronPigs. A beautiful day to watch a game at Victory Field...the weather and camaraderie couldn't have been better!

John even talked our way onto the field after the game to get a photo with former MLB catcher and Beech Grove and Alexandrea, IN native, and the Indians catching coach JD Closser (who also played minor league ball for the Albuquerque Isotopes...the hat Kelsey is wearing)! A fun day all around!

Enjoyed speaking with SUIT last night...a great group, lots of good questions and discussion, and a passion for trails!

It was great to learn from Jeff Mader (Mader Design LLC) last evening about new trends in trail-making and greenspace design, from the private sector perspective. We’ll see you next month for more Southside trail discussion and action!
