If a new pole barn or agricultural building is already on your list, don’t wait until December to start the conversation.

A qualifying building used in your farming operation may be eligible for depreciation and other potential tax deductions — but generally, the building needs to be completed and placed in service during 2026 to begin claiming depreciation on your 2026 taxes.

We always forget to post completed pictures, not just "in progress" so here is a few final picture of a small ag building project we recently finished up! It also received a rough in for a bathroom and spray foam insulation! Clients plan to finish out the interior later for a "cut your own flowers shop"
