SINCE 1989
First Response Security has been providing a Higher Standard of physical and electronic security solutions for businesses and residences in the great northwest since 1989. Our reputation is built around our high level of service, along with our committed focus to exceed our client’s expectations. Our highly trained officers, professional technicians, and experienced dispatchers set the standard for other security companies to follow. WORKING TOGETHER FOR YOU
From our humble beginnings in 1989, First Response continues to grow and add additional offerings that allow us to improve and become more efficient. We are the only company in the Pacific Northwest able to combine our on-site, patrol, and alarm response services with a full range of electronic security through our in-house UL dispatch/monitoring center. This exclusive advantage allows First Response to provide a faster response time to a broad range of customers without using sub-contractors. BEST-IN-THE-BUSINESS TECHNOLOGY
We provide every officer with a 4G tablet which allows them to produce security reports while on-location. Each of our vehicles is equipped with GPS tracking, allowing us to verify routes and services performed. We created our own patrol & dispatch software which automatically sends our officer’s reports directly to our clients. No more waiting around for manually emailed reports! Additionally, this software has features that allow our dispatchers to work more efficiently, resulting in minutes off the response time! As a Resideo and Honeywell Authorized Dealer, we’re able to offer everything from home security systems to commercial fire systems. Whether you are looking for an extra layer of protection for your home or for your business, we can provide it. Additionally, our video monitoring service allows our operators to view live footage which elevates the response priority for both our officers and the local Police. Our technicians are certified and provided with monthly continued education to keep up with the ever-changing security industry technology. All technician reports are completed on a tablet which allows for efficiency in the field. This ensures our technicians can be where they need to be, when they need to be there. GIVING BACK
We invest in our community! For 5 years in a row, we’ve been featured in the Portland Business Journal’s Corporate Philanthropy Awards. ‘Stewardship’ is one of our company core Values, and we are motivated to give both time and money to help those in need. We have won a lot of awards over the years, but we are most proud of this recognition! CONTACT US TODAY

Security From Every Angle

Your front door isn’t the only way into your home.

Side gates, garages, back doors and windows can all create gaps in your security. That’s why protecting your home takes more than focusing on a single-entry point.

At First Response Security, we look at the entire property and how each layer of security works together to create more complete coverage.

Security Done Right.

Are You Comparing Alarm Systems or Security?

A low monthly rate is easy to compare.

What’s harder to compare is everything behind it.

Who installs your system? Who services it when something goes wrong? Where is it monitored? And when an alarm requires someone at your property, who shows up?

Those questions matter because an alarm system isn’t just equipment on your wall and a monthly monitoring fee. It’s a chain of people, technology, and response and every link matters.
At First Response Security, those pieces work together through one local team. We install it. We monitor it. We respond.

So before choosing a security company based on the advertised price, ask a different question:
What am I getting for that price?

Look beyond the monthly rate. Start the conversation with First Response Security.

How Many Companies Does It Take to Protect One Property?

One company installs the alarm. Another monitors it. Someone else manages the cameras. A separate company handles patrol.

But what happens when those pieces need to work together? Who verifies the activity, coordinates the response, and who owns the outcome?

At First Response Security, we built our model differently. Our systems, monitoring, and response teams work together as one local, in-house security operation.

Fewer handoffs. Direct communication. Clear accountability. One team from detection through response.

We install. We monitor. We respond.

You Know Who Has a Key. Do You Know Who Has a Code?

Giving someone a code to your home takes seconds. Remembering to remove it months later is another story.

House cleaners, dog walkers, contractors, relatives, babysitters, over time, the list of people who have been given access can grow without homeowners realizing it.

But there’s a difference between giving access and managing access.

When your system allows it, unique user codes give you more control. You can provide access without sharing your own code, see who is using the system, and remove individual access when it’s no longer needed.

That’s how we think about home security at First Response. It’s not just about having the technology. It’s about making sure the technology is working for the way you live.

Look at your system today. Do you know exactly who still has access?

Patrol is more than driving through a neighborhood.

Our local security officers become familiar with the communities they patrol, keep an eye on common areas, identify concerns early, and are ready to respond when needed.

Visible presence. Local security officers. Real response.

That’s the First Response difference.

Would Your Patrol Have Noticed?

During a routine patrol, one of our Security Officers noticed something that didn’t fit: lights were on inside a building that should have been quiet.

Instead of assuming everything was fine and moving on, the officer recognized the concern and escalated it. Law enforcement was contacted and cleared the building. While no one was found inside, there were signs that unauthorized activity had occurred.

Before leaving, our officer made sure the entrances were secured.

That’s what effective patrol should look like. It’s not just about showing up, it’s about knowing the property, recognizing when something has changed, and taking the appropriate next step.
Because being there only matters if you’re paying attention.

Would your current patrol have noticed? Start the conversation with First Response Security today.

You armed your alarm. But who shows up if it goes off?

Most homeowners think about whether their alarm is monitored. But monitoring is only part of the equation.

Police response is prioritized based on the urgency of the call, and response times can vary depending on call volume and officer availability.

That’s why at First Response Security; our protection doesn’t stop when the alarm signal comes in. Our systems are backed by our local, in-house Monitoring Center and our own First Response Security Officers who can respond when needed.

Instead of relying on monitoring alone, you have a local team ready to take the next step. Because detecting a problem is important, having someone who can respond is what completes the security plan.

We install it. We monitor it. We respond.

Does Your Family Have a Fire Escape Plan?

A fire escape plan is something every household should have and everyone in the home should understand.

This Fire Prevention Week, take a few minutes to create or review your plan:

Identify two ways out of each room when possible.
Choose a designated meeting place outside.
Keep hallways, doors, and other exits clear and accessible.
Practice the plan with children so they know what to do.
Plan for pets or family members who may need assistance.

Having a plan is a good start. Practicing it helps make sure everyone knows what to do and where to go.

This Fire Prevention Week, be available to plan it, practice it, and review it together.

Prepare. Plan. Practice it.

Can You Spot the Fire Hazards? 🔥

Some fire hazards are easy to miss because they’re part of our everyday surroundings.

How many did you spot?

A candle too close to something that can burn. An overloaded outlet. A space heater too close to furniture. A blocked exit.

Fire prevention starts with paying attention to the small things. Take a few minutes to look around your own home, correct potential hazards, and make fire safety part of your routine.

Prevent. Detect. Prepare.
