This week we want to feature Jason Fontaine, one of our Superintendents here at H.B. Neild. Jason has been a vital part of such projects as OCI Beaumont, Natgas, Liberty ISD bond, Exxon CC, Bechtel PA-LNG and several others.

Born in Beaumont, Jason went to school in Silsbee and is now a proud husband of 25 years and father to 2 boys. When not working, you’ll find him in the great outdoors; either fishing or hunting. He says his favorite food is Creole.

When asked about his job, Jason says he loves “dealing with various people and helping solve problems.”

Thank you, Jason, for your years of commitment and positive leadership.

As we continue to share projects that we've been a part of over the years that are part of Southeast Texas, we want to share the Beaumont Convention &Visitors Bureau's building in downtown Beaumont.

The 12-month constrution project followed a design by Sigma Engineers, Inc and provided a fun, detailed-oriented build for H.B. Neild. The building is a showpiece for Beaumont, with many construction details on the inside and outside. The City of Beaumont - Government was great to work with, and the partnership - which benefitted citizens - was an important one for H.B. Neild. At more than 20 years old, the facility remains a welcome point for those coming to Beaumont, especially downtown.

Today we are featuring Stephen Hemelt our Communication Director.

Stephen was born in New Orleans and has a degree in Journalism from Louisiana Tech. He is married with two kids and lists “time with the family” as his favorite activity. When it comes to food, his favorites are Pizza, Nachos and a good Shrimp Po Boy (what else would you expect from a Louisiana boy).

When asked about his job, Stephen says what he likes most is “making an impact for a company that has been making a major impact on Southeast Texas and beyond, for 100 years.”

We salute all the hats you have to wear and the great job you do in representing and spreading the word about all we do here at H.B. Neild.

Led by Director of Safety Andrew Jones Jr., the H.B. Neild Construction safety team of Juan Morazan, Rocky Calhoun, Milton Sellers and Brandon Daniels took the stage Thursday for the Contractor Safety Awards.

H.B. Neild was recognized in the Most Decorated Meritorious Division, honoring the companies in each man-hour category that received the highest number of nominations.

The company also earned a Foundation of Safety Excellence recognition for maintaining a zero recordable incident rate for three consecutive years and received owner tribute awards from Dow Sabine River Operations, Motiva Enterprises, and ExxonMobil Beaumont Blending & Packaging.

Congratulations as well to Andrew Jones Jr. for being named a finalist for the Roy Comeaux Safety Champion of the Year, which was given out by former H.B. Neild Safety Director Quais “Q” Savoir. Thank you ISTC - Industrial Safety Training Council and Golden Triangle Business Roundtable for leading an amazing event.

Meet Danyal Lyday, a journeyman plumber here at H.B. Neild.

Danyal has worked on projects such asthe Motiva Pump Station and several of the Nederland ISD buildings.

Danyal is from Port Arthur and went through the Local 68 Plumbing Apprenticeship. He is married with 2 sons, who he enjoys family time with, such as hunting and fishing.

Danyal says he loves working for a company that makes you feel like you actually make a difference and specifically mentions his boss, Earl, for running a great environment.

This week we want to shine our spotlight of appreciation on Sherry Daniels.

Sherry is a Document Control Specialist and has previously held the position of Project Administrator. Sherry has been a big part of projects such as Nederland ISD’s new high school and renovations to 4 elementary and 2 middle schools, Bechtel PALNG, Golden Triangle Polymers and many, many others.

Sherry is an incredibly hard worker and has been a huge part of our success over the years.

This week, we want to introduce everyone to Austin Wright. Austin is a Civil Foreman here at H.B. Neild and has worked for us on projects for Golden Triangle Polymers, Tidal Vision and the Port of Beaumont to name a few.

Austin was born in Beaumont, attended school in Lumberton and is now married with a daughter and upcoming twins. (Congratulations!!) If he will have any free time in the near future, he enjoys hiking and enjoying his favorite food…Italian.

Austin says “I like working for a company that takes time to meet every applicant before hiring.” And that he loves “having the chance to show my worth beyond just one specific task or job.”
