Before. 🚪

Cracked, stained, and worn — these front entry steps had seen one too many Hudson Valley winters. Black mold, crumbling joints, and a landing that wasn't doing this home any favors.

Your front entry is the first thing people see. It deserved better. Stay tuned. 👀

Hello September. 🍂🌿

The Hudson Valley is about to do that thing it does better than almost anywhere — that slow, golden shift from summer to fall where the light changes, the air cools, and everything gets just a little bit more beautiful.

September is one of our favorite months. The projects are still going strong, the gardens are at their most layered, and the best planting season of the year is right around the corner.

Here's to a beautiful start to fall.

Happy September from all of us at Peak Landscaping. 🙌

Every detail gets the same attention. 🪵

That tongue and groove cedar ceiling is getting a fresh coat of stain — and the warm golden color it's bringing out in the wood is absolutely beautiful. This is the kind of finishing detail that makes a pavilion feel like a true outdoor room rather than just a structure.

Almost ready for the big reveal. 👀

August — you were a good one. 🌿

What a summer it's been across the Hudson Valley. Projects built, gardens maintained, and spaces transformed that families will enjoy for years to come.

Fall is right around the corner — and it's one of the best seasons to plant, seed, and plan ahead. If something has been on your list, now is the time.

Same backyard. Completely different story. ✨

Fresh mulch beds edged and defined along the horizontal fence, new plantings settling in, and a weeping tree anchoring the center of the lawn. This space went from overgrown and undefined to intentional and beautiful.

The horizontal fence as a backdrop makes everything in front of it look even better — and it really does. 🌿

The details that make it extraordinary. 🪨

Get close enough and this pavilion pillar tells the whole story — stacked fieldstone from Pidala Material and Supply, laid course by course by hand, topped with a clean bluestone cap. The same stone used throughout the chimney raise, carried all the way down to the base of each post.

Consistency in materials. Consistency in craft. That's what makes a project like this feel like it belongs exactly where it is.

Before. 🌿

A well-loved backyard with great bones — but the lawn was weedy, the beds undefined, and the space wasn't living up to its potential. That horizontal fence already going up on the left told us this transformation was going to be something special.

Stay tuned. 👀

Same path. Room to breathe. ✨

A good trim makes all the difference — shrubs pulled back, edges clean, and this winding bluestone walkway finally gets to shine the way it deserves.

Regular maintenance doesn't just keep things tidy. It transforms how a space feels. 🌿

Every angle tells the story. 🪵

This horizontal fence runs the full length of the property — tight boards, clean lines, and that satisfying stepped profile where it meets the building. Fresh pressure-treated lumber that'll weather beautifully over time.

Privacy, character, and curb appeal all in one build. This is what we love about fence work.

Brown lawn in August? Don't panic. 🌿

Cool-season grasses across Dutchess, Ulster, and Rockland Counties go semi-dormant in summer heat. Brown doesn't mean dead — it means your lawn is resting.

Mow high at 3.5–4 inches, hold off on fertilizing until late August, and let the fall rains do their thing. It'll green back up.
