Congrats to Higher Purpose Homes on being named 2026 Company of the Year at the EDIE Awards by the Economic Development Council of Colorado - EDCC!

Their off-site construction model is a smart answer to the housing shortage and short high-country building seasons, and it creates year-round manufacturing jobs in SW Colorado.

The EDIE Awards spotlight the businesses and partnerships driving Colorado’s economy, and this year EDCC is celebrating its 50th anniversary. Well deserved, team!

One of our favorite things to show people is the moment shop work becomes a home.

For one roughly 2,500-square-foot project, our team spent about three weeks producing components in the shop. Once on site, the structure reached a framed, dried-in shell in about two weeks and two days, including windows and doors. Work such as porches, decks, siding, and trim continued afterward.

Every home and site is different. What we love about this process is being able to prepare much of the framing in the shop, then watch it come together on site with the rest of the build team.

Here’s a look at that journey.

Earlier this year, we moved Higher Purpose Homes into a larger shop in Bayfield.

More space gives our crew room to build floor, wall, and roof panels, organize each project, and keep improving the way work moves through the shop. It was a big step for our company and a commitment to doing this work here in Southwest Colorado.

We’re still learning with every build. That’s part of what makes it exciting to walk through the shop and see what this team is creating.

We have some exciting news: Higher Purpose Homes has been named the 2026 Company of the Year by the Economic Development Council of Colorado.

We started HPH because we believe home should be attainable for all. For us, building sustainable communities means finding better ways to produce the housing our region needs while creating skilled work here in Southwest Colorado.

This year we moved into a larger shop in Bayfield. Seeing our crew make that space their own—and seeing the homes they build there take shape on site—has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey.

We’re grateful to EDCC for this recognition and to our crew, customers, builders, and partners for getting us here. There’s much more work ahead, and we’re excited to keep building.

Today we remember September 11, 2001.

We remember the lives lost, the families whose lives changed forever, and the first responders and ordinary people who ran toward danger to help others.

25 years later, their courage, sacrifice, and service are still worth remembering.

Today is a good reminder that when things are at their worst, people are capable of showing up for each other at their best.

We will never forget.
