Busy general contractor in Bay City, Michigan, seeking a construction laborer to help with projects on an as-needed basis.

Depending on the project, hours could be part- or full-time Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. We are flexible with school or other job commitments, and also happy to work with those looking for temporary work while on layoff due to COVID-19.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of personal or professional experience with construction or home improvement/handyman projects
- Possession of a valid driver's license
- Willing to submit to a background check

General Duties:
- Demolition
- Framing in new walls
- Drywall
- Cabinet and appliance installation
- Installing trim
- Hanging doors
- Flooring and tile work
- Showers and tub surrounds

As a Flooring Installer for Gilson Home Renovations, you'll install hard surface flooring (no carpet) in customer's homes. We are a subcontractor for a major retail home improvement chain.

Monday through Friday schedule with no weekends. Full-time or part-time options. Willing to work with your schedule.

Pay is based on experience. An alternative pay plan based on a percentage of the total job and opportunity to run your own crew is available for those with extensive flooring experience. Employees are independent contractors (1099).

What We're Looking For:

- Experience installing laminate and/or tile flooring
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable and dependable
- Friendly demeanor and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background screen
