Hackett Industrial Services "HIS" was created to meet specialized insurance needsโ€”not to step away from Hackett Construction & Millwright Services "HCC." We have always shared the same experience, determination, and commitment to doing the work right.

Brian Grubius and the HIS team are proud to move forward alongside Nick Thenen and HCC as one united team. Follow the Hackett Construction & Millwright Services page as we bring our people, projects, and accomplishments together in one place.

Nick has known Hackett for as long as he can remember. Growing up, hard work was not something simply talked about in the Thenen family โ€” it was expected. Under his father, Jerry โ€œBig Jerryโ€ Thenen, Nick learned early what it meant to show up, work hard, take responsibility, and earn your place.

He began working for the company as a youth and has been a full-time member of the Hackett team since 2003. All three have since passed, making this an especially meaningful chapter in Hackettโ€™s history.

The Board also extends its sincere appreciation to Thad Homister for his leadership and commitment during this transition. ๐“๐ก๐š๐ ๐ซ๐ž๐ฆ๐š๐ข๐ง๐ฌ ๐š๐ง ๐ข๐ฆ๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ๐š๐ง๐ญ ๐ฉ๐š๐ซ๐ญ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐‡๐š๐œ๐ค๐ž๐ญ๐ญ ๐ญ๐ž๐š๐ฆ and will continue focusing on project management and taking care of our customers.

True to a friendship between our families that has spanned decades, Thad stepped forward when Hackett needed him most. Following the losses of both Jerry and JT, he answered the call in more ways than one.

Holtec is redefining the future of nuclear energy on a global scale. We are inspired by their vision, impressed by their accomplishments, and honored to be part of their team.

The Palisades restart project reached a watershed moment as the last of the major projects were successfully closed out and the site transitioned from large-scale activities to the remaining routine maintenance, testing, inspection, and operational readiness work required before startup.

"Great organizations are rarely held back by a lack of talent. More often, they are held back by talent that hasn't been fully empowered. Success comes when leaders recognize strengths, place people where they can thrive, and remove the barriers standing in their way."

๐Ÿ”ฅ Monday Mindset ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Ambition isnโ€™t greed. Itโ€™s responsibility.

In heavy industry, what gets built takes teamwork, sacrifice, leadership, and people willing to carry weight others never see. The right kind of ambition keeps paychecks moving, families fed, jobs running, and communities strong.

When you win the right way, everyone around you wins too. Your family benefits. Your team grows. Your customers succeed. Plants stay running. Communities stay strong. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿค

That is not selfish โ€” that is the whole point.

Donโ€™t apologize for wanting to grow, improve, and build something bigger โ€” especially when others are counting on you to keep pushing forward.

Show up. Work hard. Lead right. Build something that lasts. ๐Ÿ”ฅ
