This week, we're spotlighting Ashley Camp, Equipment Asset Coordinator and Cost Analyst, who has been with Cajun for 10 years!

Ashley began her career at Cajun as the Office Manager for Equipment Services. Over the years, her initiative, analytical skills, and passion for finding ways to improve operations helped her transition into a role focused on equipment budgeting, asset performance, cost analysis, and financial reporting. Today, Ashley plays an important role in helping guide business decisions through data-driven insights, while also getting to see the equipment she helps manage in action on our jobsites.

October is Careers in Construction Month, and we’re continuing to highlight the people who have built their careers at Cajun!

This week, meet Chris Robert, Site QC Supervisor, who has been part of the Cajun team for 12 years. Chris began his career at Cajun as a QC Inspector and has grown into his current leadership role, where he oversees quality initiatives and helps ensure our work meets project requirements and Cajun’s standards for quality.

As Site QC Supervisor, Chris leads quality control activities for fabricated pipe spools before they are shipped to the field, coordinates third-party NDE contractors and works closely with our production teams to deliver a high-quality product to our customers.

For Chris, one of the most rewarding parts of his career is “seeing a project successfully reach the field without quality issues.” He takes pride in knowing the finished product reflects the dedication and craftsmanship of the entire team.

We’re proud to announce that Cajun Industries has received a 2026 ABC Greater Houston Excellence in Construction Award for the KSA Bluebonnet Project! 🏆 The ABC Greater Houston Excellence in Construction Awards recognize outstanding merit shop construction projects, safety performance, and industry leadership throughout the Houston region.

Over the course of this 36-month project, our team successfully delivered KSA’s first grassroots manufacturing facility in North America while navigating significant engineering revisions, permitting delays, scope growth, and challenging weather conditions. Through collaboration, innovation, and Cajun’s extensive self-perform capabilities, the project surpassed 1.5 million manhours with zero OSHA recordable incidents.

This recognition reflects the dedication of our project team, craft professionals, subcontractors, suppliers, and partners who helped bring this complex project to life.

October is Careers in Construction Month, and we’re celebrating the people who have built their careers at Cajun!

We’re kicking off our employee spotlight series with Richard West, Project Superintendent, who has been part of the Cajun team for 18 years. Richard began his career at Cajun as a Carpenter Helper and worked his way up to Project Superintendent, building his experience and leadership skills along the way.

Today, Richard also oversees operations at our Form Fabrication Facility and yard at Westport, where he works closely with our field teams to help streamline construction operations.

For Richard, one of the best parts of a career in construction is the opportunity to help others grow. “The most rewarding part of my career is seeing other employees grow and succeed through the guidance, training, and support I provide.”

Congratulations to Scott Swindler, Cajun’s Senior Vice President of Infrastructure, on being named President of the Mississippi Valley Branch of Associated General Contractors of America (MVAGC) for the 2026–2027 term.

Scott has been actively involved with AGC at both the regional and national levels, including service on the AGC of America Board of Governors and as Chair of the Mississippi Valley Branch Specifications Committee. He has also helped lead initiatives to ensure the construction industry has a voice in federal and state decisions surrounding the delivery of our nation’s water infrastructure.

Nominated by the MVAGC Board of Directors and elected by its general membership, Scott will represent the organization at both the chapter and national levels. As President, he will also serve as Chairman of the Executive Committee, helping guide the branch alongside its officers and board members.

We’re proud to see Scott represent Cajun and the construction industry in this leadership role.
