An exciting project is taking shape at LSU!

Kern Architects is proud to be working with the Louisiana Pest Management Association (LPMA) on the expansion of the Lois Caffery Termite Training Center.

The expansion will create new indoor and outdoor hands-on learning environments, including simulated pest control scenarios, specialized landscaping, and a training pond—all designed to support real-world education for pest management professionals across Louisiana.

LPMA recently shared the vision for the facility at their fundraising gala, and we enjoyed seeing the excitement and support surrounding the project.

We’re grateful to be part of bringing LPMA’s vision to life and look forward to seeing this project take shape!

Architecture runs in the family!

Phillip’s kids put their creativity to work at AIA Baton Rouge's Building Blocks. We loved seeing the next generation of designers and builders get in on the fun!

WE’RE GROWING AND WE’RE HIRING.

Kern Architects is looking to add one or more talented architectural professionals to our team in Baton Rouge.

We have a strong pipeline of exciting commercial projects getting underway, and we’re looking for someone who wants to do more than simply fill a position. We’re building a growing architecture firm with opportunities for our team members to grow their skills, take on greater responsibility, and help shape what our firm becomes.

Who we’re looking for:
• Architect or unlicensed architectural professional
• Approximately 1–5 years of experience preferred
• Strong Revit skills
• Commercial architecture experience is a plus
• Someone who takes ownership of their work and enjoys being part of a collaborative team

This position will work closely with our Project Managers on the design and production of commercial projects throughout Louisiana and the Gulf South.

If you’re early in your career and looking for a place where you can learn, contribute, and grow as the firm grows, we’d love to talk.

Interested? Send your résumé and portfolio to [email protected]

Giving back is time well spent. Phillip joined fellow Habitat for Humanity of Greater Baton Rouge board members for Board Build Day, lending a hand as another home moves closer to completion.

Proud to support the people and organizations investing in our community.
