🎉 Celebrating 10 Years with Mindy Dray! 🎉

When Mindy joined H&S a decade ago, she thought she’d be helping with the books and bringing a little organization to the team — never imagining where the opportunity would lead!

With a background as a CPA in public accounting, Mindy has always had a passion for numbers. But what she enjoys most is digging into those numbers alongside the team to better understand and support the business. Over the past 10 years, she's played an important role in the company's growth and evolution, witnessing firsthand just how far we’ve come from the early days at our first shop.

Coming to H&S without prior experience in the trades, Mindy has also developed a deep appreciation for the skill, craftsmanship, knowledge and complexity behind the work our tradespeople perform every day.

Today, Mindy says she still looks forward to coming to work and genuinely loves what she does. We’re grateful for her dedication, contributions and the positive impact she continues to make.

🩷 PINK OUT NIGHT IS TONIGHT! 🩷

H&S Industries is proud to support Illini Bluffs High School’s Pink Out Night during tonight’s home varsity volleyball game! Proceeds benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation through raffles, baked goods and more.

We’ve donated a raffle basket for this annual event for several years, and this year’s prize includes four premium tickets to the Illinois vs. Iowa football game on Nov. 21, along with Illini gear and H&S Industries swag! 🏈

Good luck to the team, and thank you to the Timber Chapter National Honor Society for supporting this important cause!

🎉 Celebrating 10 Years with Joe Groves! 🎉

Joe began his career as a non-union welder before a couple of fellow fitters encouraged him to contact Steamfitters Local 353. He was organized in 2007 and has built a career around craftsmanship, precision and problem-solving.

Joe enjoys the challenge of the work — figuring out problems and finding the right solution. Most recently, he’s been working on engines welding 5" stainless, where attention to detail and precision are critical.

His advice to a new apprentice is straightforward: Listen, learn and work by finding ways to contribute to the team. That's fair advice coming from Joe, a man of few words. Joe appreciates that H&S provides the tools and resources needed to execute the work successfully. Away from the job, he enjoys the peace and quiet of fishing.

We appreciate Joe’s skill, work ethic and contributions to H&S over the past decade. Congratulations on 10 years, Joe!

October is Careers in Construction Month, and we're proud to celebrate the skilled tradespeople behind every H&S Industries project.

Since 2008, our family-owned company has grown into one of the largest specialty contractors in central Illinois, thanks to pipefitters, electricians and ironworkers who take pride in doing the job right.

🎉 Celebrating 10 Years with Josh Ellis! 🎉

Josh’s path into the trades started with an unexpected conversation about a motorcycle, when someone suggested he reach out to Stan Bradle with Steamfitters Local #353. That advice led Josh to begin his apprenticeship in 2011 and, a few years later, join H&S as an apprentice.

Over the past 10 years, Josh has continued to grow his skills and take on new challenges—something he says is one of the things he values most about working at H&S. Today, he’s putting that experience to work leading a project at Ozinga in Peoria, which he considers his most memorable project yet. Josh enjoys the satisfaction of building something tangible and the opportunity to lead work and help shape the process from start to finish.

His advice to someone entering the trades? Take advantage of every opportunity to learn and try new things.

Outside of work, Josh stays busy keeping up with his three teenagers and their activities.

Josh says he’s always been treated well at H&S, and we’re proud to recognize his growth, leadership, and 10 years as part of our team. Congratulations, Josh!

We were proud to sponsor not one, but two teams for Lymphoma Is A Loser’s Annual Johnny Mac Golf-palooza on August 29! ⛳️

Our own Josh Haag led one team, finishing an impressive 11 under — just four strokes behind the first-place score of 15 under. The second team was led by H&S’s Mike Stout, with Zach Bowen and Entec’s Sean Lavery and Owen Maupin joining in the fun.

Two teams, one great day on the course and an even greater cause!
