Lucius Complete Home, 2874 Price Drive Suite 2, Bartlett, TN (2026)

10/08/2026

Another completed roof replacement in Bartlett, TN - built with the details that matter.

For this home, the customer chose Atlas Pinnacle® Pristine shingles in Pewter, a great-looking color backed by 3M™ Scotchgard™ Protector technology for long-term resistance to black streaks caused by algae.

This roofing system included:

• Atlas Pinnacle Pristine shingles – Pewter
• Lifetime algae / black streak protection
• Ice & Water Shield in critical leak-prone areas
• Metal drip edge for added perimeter protection
• Filtered ridge vents for proper attic ventilation
• Careful attention to flashing, roof transitions, and overall finish
• Hand-nailed installation — NO AIR GUNS, EVER!!

Why do we hand-nail?

Because proper nail depth and seating matter. Hand-nailing gives our installers greater control over each fastener and helps reduce the risk of nails being overdriven, underdriven, or improperly seated.

A quality roof is about much more than what you see from the street. The shingles, underlayment, ventilation, edge protection, flashing, and installation method all work together as one complete roofing system.

Some roofing projects stand out because of the details.

We recently completed this home in the Southwind/Germantown area of Memphis, where the homeowner wanted new custom copper step and counter flashing installed after the exterior walls were repainted.

What made this project especially unique was the combination of that custom copper flashing work and our commitment to hand-nailing the roof system. When you combine high-end detail work with a more careful installation approach, it’s the kind of craftsmanship that really sets a project apart.

From the roof deck and underlayment to the finished shingles and custom flashing, every part of this project was completed with attention to detail.

It’s details like these that can take a roof from ordinary to exceptional.

Why do we hand-nail every roof we install?

Because details matter.

This week we completed another beautiful roof replacement in Bartlett, TN, using:

✔ Atlas Pinnacle Pristine architectural shingles with Scotchgard™ Protection
✔ Atlas Summit Synthetic Underlayment
✔ Atlas Ice & Water Shield
✔ Atlas All-Weather Ridge Vents
✔ New metal drip edge
✔ Every shingle hand-nailed

People often ask why we choose to hand-nail when many contractors use air nailers.

The answer is simple:

Hand-nailing gives our installers complete control over every nail's placement, depth, and angle. It allows each shingle attachment point to be checked individually, helping ensure the shingles are fastened where the manufacturer intends.

Can an air nailer install shingles correctly? Absolutely, when it's properly adjusted and used correctly.

We've simply chosen a different standard.

For over 40 years, we've believed taking a little extra time is worth it if it helps us deliver a roof, we're proud to stand behind.

When you're comparing roofing estimates, don't just compare prices.

Ask:
✔ How will the roof be installed?
✔ What materials are included?
✔ Is the contractor licensed and insured?
✔ What do their reviews and BBB rating say?
✔ Will they repair a roof if replacement isn't necessary?

At Lucius Complete Home, we do both roof replacements and honest roof repairs because every home deserves the right solution, not the most expensive one.

Thank you to another Bartlett homeowner for trusting our family-owned company.

These photos show one of our recent roofing projects in Arlington, TN, from tear-off to the finished product.

✔ Read Google reviews

A roof leak doesn’t automatically mean your entire roof needs to be replaced.

On this recent project, the problem was isolated to a leaking roof valley, one of the most vulnerable areas of a roofing system because it handles a large amount of water runoff.

Instead of recommending a full roof replacement, we removed the shingles in the affected valley, addressed the problem area, installed new underlayment, and properly rebuilt the valley before installing new shingles to restore the area.

The result: the leak was corrected without replacing a roof that still had useful life remaining.

At Lucius Complete Home, we believe in giving homeowners an honest assessment. If your roof needs replacement, we’ll tell you.

But if a professional roof repair can solve the problem, we’ll tell you that too.

Common roof problems we repair include:

• Leaking roof valleys
• Missing or damaged shingles
• Roof flashing leaks
• Chimney and wall flashing problems
• Pipe boot and vent leaks
• Storm and wind damage
• Skylight leaks
• Small roof leaks and problem areas

If you’re seeing a ceiling stain, dripping water, missing shingles, or signs of a roof leak, have it inspected before assuming you need an entirely new roof.

Who installs your roof matters just as much as the materials that go on it.

Another beautiful roof completed in Collierville, TN! This homeowner chose an Owens Corning roofing system featuring:

✔ Owens Corning architectural shingles
✔ Rhino Synthetic Underlayment
✔ Rhino Ice & Water Shield
✔ Owens Corning VentSure Ridge Vents
✔ New metal drip edge

And just as importantly...

Every shingle was hand-nailed. No air guns.

There are a lot of roofing companies serving the Mid-South, but not all roofs are installed the same. We've chosen to hand-nail every roof because we believe quality craftsmanship still matters. It takes a little more time, but it's a standard we've never been willing to compromise.

One piece of advice we give every homeowner, even if you don't choose us—is to get a few estimates. Compare apples to apples, ask questions, and look beyond the price. Check reviews, verify they're licensed and insured, and find out how they install their roofs. The cheapest bid isn't always the best value, and the most expensive isn't always the best contractor.

A little research today can help you avoid costly problems tomorrow.

And remember, if your roof isn't ready for replacement, that's okay too. We provide honest roof repairs and maintenance to help homeowners extend the life of their existing roof whenever possible. If a repair is the right solution, we'll tell you.

Thank you to another Collierville homeowner for trusting Lucius Complete Home with your roofing project.

Another Memphis Roof Replacement Complete!

Last week our roofing crew completed this roof replacement for a homeowner right here in Memphis, TN.

A quality roof replacement is about much more than putting new shingles over a home.

We start by completely removing the old roofing materials so we can inspect the roof decking underneath.

Once we know we have a solid foundation, we install the components of the new roofing system from the deck up.

On this project, that included:

✔️ Complete tear-off and roof deck inspection
✔️ Synthetic roofing underlayment
✔️ New metal drip edge along the roof edges
✔️ Proper flashing and attention to vulnerable roof areas
✔️ New asphalt shingles
✔️ Proper roof ventilation
✔️ And, as always, every shingle was HAND NAILED, NO AIR GUNS

I know we’ve said it before, but why do we still hand nail our roofs?

It gives our installers greater control over nail placement and depth, two details that are extremely important to proper shingle installation.

The finished result is a great-looking new roof, but it's everything underneath that homeowners don't see that can make the biggest difference.

If your roof is showing its age, has a leak, or you're simply unsure of its condition, Lucius Complete Home provides roof inspections, roof repairs and complete roof replacements throughout Memphis and the Mid-South.
