Harbor Town privacy wall rebuild….Yet another case of an improperly installed fence. This fence was almost 11 foot tall and 20 foot long. It was designed with only one post in the middle, and that was just insufficient, because only five years of age the post snapped. We tore the wall down, salvaged the cedar pickets, and rebuilt it to our heavy duty standards. We typically tend to over build things. But that’s OK. Heavy duty, quality work ensures that it lasts longer for our customers.  The new wall stands 10‘6”, the posts are 4 foot deep and in concrete, 2x4 rails that are staggering the span 3 posts causing unity and removing weak points, we installed a 2 x 8 That is vertically screwed into the top rail as well as the posts. The top cap was then reinforced with a single 20 foot long 2 x 4 preventing any movements at the board joints. This privacy wall should last and last.
