(1) Changing your air filter on time is the single most important thing you can do to avoid costly repairs and keep your home comfortable.

(2) Clogged air filters are the number one reason for premature equipment failure & poor airflow.

(3) Second floor bedrooms too hot or too cold? Dirty air filters also contribute to your systems ability to maintain proper duct pressure leaving those rooms at the end with little to no airflow!

Did you know?

Every home is different and some filters last longer then others based on many environmental factors. Regardless of what the filter says on the package, be sure to at least inspect your filter according to this schedule.

- Standard 1" thick air filters, should be inspected and/or changed every 30-60 days.

- Premium 4"-5" thick media air filters, should be inspected and/or changed every 3-6 months.

💦 Excessive summertime rain leads to high humidity and irritating complications with air quality & comfort at home 💦

- Allergies and respiratory illness from toxic airborne particles such as dust, mold, pesticides, pollen, & septic overflow particulates from flood waters.

- Swelling and cracking of wood inside your home such as; floors, window trim, cabinets, musical instruments & furniture.

- You may notice that your bed sheets and pillows have a gross damp feeling that makes it hard to get a good night sleep.

- Since humidity rises, your second floor may feel 3F-5F warmer. Every 3% increase in humidity makes the temperature feel 1F warmer. In a typical house without a dehumidifier, the humidity is about 10% higher on each level up. Especially if you have vaulted ceilings.

☀️ Summer Is Not Over Yet... Our Top 8 Simple Tips For Worry Free Cooling To Finish Out The Season ❄️

( 1 ) Change your air filter on time to improve air flow & increase efficiency. Dirty air filters or highly restrictive allergy filters are a common cause for poor performance, inefficiency and equipment failure.

( 2 ) Trim the bushes around your outdoor Air Conditioning Condenser. You want at least 2 feet of Clearance on each side so it can effectively remove heat.

( 3 ) Listen for any odd noises while its running or trying to start up. If the fan is slow to start up or the compressor is louder then usual be sure to have it checked out.

( 4 ) Watch for any sort of frost on the copper refrigerant lines. This is a sign that they system needs to be cleaned or the refrigerant needs to be balanced.

( 5 ) Do you notice a musty smell in the house when you first start up the A/C. You may need to have your evaporator coil cleaned to prevent spreading mold spores throughout your home.

( 6 ) After about 10-15 minutes, check to make sure the water from the indoor evaporator coil is draining properly through the white PVC pipe into your floor drain or condensate pump.

( 7 ) Schedule your annual A/C tune-up & cleaning with ICE-HVAC before the schedule starts filling up.

( 8 ) Avoid costly AC repair by calling your local NATE Certified HVAC technician with any questions or concerns if something seems wrong.
