1969 Mustang Mach 1 — Getting a Fresh Start 🇺🇸
This ’69 Mach 1 is in the shop getting stripped down and brought back to a clean, properly prepared surface.
On a classic like this, the goal isn’t simply to remove the old coatings. The process matters. We’re using plastic media in the delicate areas to safely strip coatings while minimizing heat and distortion, followed by fine crushed glass where needed to clean the metal and establish the proper surface profile.
From the engine bay and floor pans to the seams, jambs, inner structure and all those hard-to-reach areas—you can see in the video just how much detail goes into doing a complete shell correctly.
When you’re restoring a 57-year-old piece of American muscle, what’s underneath the paint matters just as much as what eventually goes over it.
Can’t wait to see where this Mach 1 goes from here.
