Been awhile since I’ve shared anything. Custom designed 1 of 1 badger themed flag. This flag is being donated to the Todd Ploessl family for their upcoming benefit on Saturday, October 3rd. It will be auctioned off to help support the family. Todd is a co-worker in the trades with myself and I’ve know the Ploessl family for many years as our daughters were close in age, school mates and played sports together growing up in Barneveld. There looks to be many fine donations from the local communities and family members alike! Link below for more info on the benefit.

Phone dings…it’s bro. “Hey, I got a rush job, you interested?”. Me: insert eye roll..sure, when? Bro: “Next week”. In my best Wisconsin’ese “oof”
After quickly hammering out details, a day of design, and many hours of machine time, this custom designed retirement flag was the final product. Best of luck Doug with your retirement and best of luck to my bro, Now Chief Grabandt, Platteville Police Department.

Time flies! Was a custom design I made over 8 years ago, 2-inch thick live edge walnut slab, is likely still hanging in their showroom. I'm still working on woodworking projects, albeit with less energy 🥱 than before.

Time has come to differentiate myself from my daily operations of a self employed carpenter of 28+ years, and my home workshop operations for 20+ years. Farm49Workshop is a my new business name for my shop projects. Things have definitely changed over the years… from the small 12x12 basement bedroom “shop”, now to a full shop space, adding high tech cnc tools, laser machine..oh not to mention heat! Omg, projects in the middle of a wisco winter in an unheated garage is brutal! Where does the Farm49 name come from? Welp, Our home is a retired old Wisconsin farmstead, likely 100+ years old. The still standing silo is here, along with the original silo build date etched into the concrete from the guys who built it in June 1949. Cool stuff! I’ll be periodically adding pics of past years projects that have left my shop. I’ve always been fond of old rustic wood, furniture, etc, and you’ll see this in many of my past projects.
