Quick greenhouse update since I said I’d share one after building the potting table

Honestly didn’t expect things to take off like this but everything is thriving right now. Tomatoes are looking great (roma, better boy, sweet million, tiny tim, sungold), peppers are coming in, and even the marigolds are doing their thing

Starting to feel like we might actually know what we’re doing… maybe 😂

You ever buy something practical… and it turns into your entire personality for the day?

All I wanted was fewer weeds. Now I’m out here defending the patio like it’s a sci-fi movie.

Our dandelion crop is almost ready for harvesting 😂

They don’t make trim like this anymore… so I had to try recreating it myself.

This house is over 200 years old, and matching the original baseboards isn’t as simple as a trip to the store. Honestly wasn’t sure this would turn out… but I’m pretty happy with it.

Had plans to recreate some 200 year old baseboards today…
Then the weather rolled in 🌧️

So we pivoted and finally got the bedroom crown painted. Not what I planned, but I’ll take it.

We had a longgg list of projects to get accomplished today! Despite some mechanical issues, it was mostly a success 🥳

Got all our tomato and pepper seeds started in the greenhouse and finally got a willow tree planted by the pond. I'm so excited to watch everything take off 🌱

The backyard also got its first cut of the season and Waylon couldn't be happier 😂

Over the weekend we finished building our 10x20 greenhouse at Waterloo Farm, and of course… realized we still needed somewhere to actually work inside it.

So today we built a simple 8-foot potting bench using leftover 2x4s and OSB scraps we had laying around. Nothing fancy, just something solid that gets the job done.

And yes… we absolutely used the mini dumper to haul the wood instead of carrying it 😅

This was a no-plan, real-life build, a few mistakes along the way, but that’s part of it.

Next step is getting this greenhouse fully set up and producing.

What would you add to this setup?

Spring is here!! 🌱

We're upping our garden game again this year which means a lot more plant starts.

Obviously the only solution was a greenhouse 😂 So excited to get it finished up and for hubby to add some shelving and a potting bench. Garden 2026 here we come! 🍅

It has been awhile since we've had any house reno updates, but we're finally getting the primary bedroom done!

There is still a lot to go, but this weekend the ceiling got really close to being done. A few weekends ago the original baseboards got planed and primed and we put them in their spots for installation next weekend.

It has been fun picking out the finishing touches over the last few weeks and daydreaming about how the final look will turn out 😍

Snow day at Waterloo Farm ❄️

A lot of people asked how the mini dumper handles snow, so we fired it up and took it out on an icy layer over 5-6 inches of snow. No modifications, no special setup... just real world conditions.

It actually did better than we expected!

When you think you fixed it… but you didn’t.

Old house ceilings have a way of humbling you.

Tell me this is the last time.

This might be my favorite combo here.

Excavator loading the dumper, then hauling it off to dump.

Necessary tool… or just a really fun one?
