☀️🔥 HEAT SAFETY REMINDER – PROJECT FLAGGING BIDDEFORD 🔥☀️

The forecast is calling for some very hot temperatures over the next several days. Your safety is our #1 priority, so please take the heat seriously.

✅ Bring PLENTY of water and drink it throughout your shift.
✅ Wear sunscreen and reapply as needed.
✅ Take advantage of shade and rest breaks whenever possible.
✅ Stay hydrated before, during, and after work.

🚨 IMPORTANT: If you have any medical necessities, they must be with you at your flagger station, including:
• EpiPen
• Rescue inhaler
• Diabetic supplies (insulin, glucose tablets, snacks, etc.)
• Any other emergency medication you may need

⚠️ Watch for signs of heat illness:
🥵 Dizziness
🤕 Headache
🤢 Nausea
💪 Muscle cramps
😓 Excessive sweating
😵 Confusion or fainting

If you start feeling sick from the heat, call the office or field coordinator, or tell your on-site supervisor immediately. Don't try to "push through it." We would much rather have you take a break than risk a serious medical emergency.

👷 Please keep an eye on your coworkers, too. If someone doesn't seem like themselves, check on them and notify your supervisor.
