Not all aeration and overseeding is done the same way.
At Blue Crab Turf & Landscape, we’ve built drag matting into every aeration and overseeding service as a standard part of the process, NOT an add-on!
We’re also running brand-new, top-of-the-line equipment that places seed precisely in front of the core aeration tines. Many machines commonly used today are designed to either aerate or seed, requiring separate passes and sacrificing efficiency. Our equipment allows us to do both together, putting the seed exactly where it needs to be.
But we don’t stop there.
After aerating and seeding, we drag mat the lawn for two important reasons:
1. Break down the cores. The drag mat helps break the soil plugs into smaller pieces so they can work their way back into the lawn and soil surface more quickly.
2. Improve seed-to-soil contact. The mat essentially combs the seed down through the existing turf and into the freshly created core holes.
Seed-to-soil contact is critical to getting the most out of your investment.
Take a close look at the still photo. You’ll see seed sitting on top of the grass and leaves instead of making contact with the soil. Seed left sitting above the soil surface has a much harder time establishing.
That’s why drag matting isn’t an upgrade with Blue Crab. It’s part of doing the job right.
Quality over quantity. Details matter.
