IN PROGRESS PHOTOS 🧱

Exciting progress continues on this 1800s Baltimore carriage house restoration in the Patterson Park area.

Over the past few weeks, the team has been hard at work rebuilding the alley wall. The openings for the new garage door and entry door have been laid out, and the existing steel beam has been carefully reinstalled as part of the reconstruction.

As work progressed, we also recreated the second-floor doorway that historically provided access to the hay loft—a unique feature that helps preserve the building's original character and story.

We're excited to share that the alley wall is now complete! While some final masonry pointing remains, this major milestone allows us to shift our focus to the next phases of the project. Roof planning is now underway, and groundwork and slab preparation will be next.

It's rewarding to see this historic structure steadily taking shape once again. Stay tuned for more updates as the transformation continues.

Progress continues on this 1800s Baltimore carriage house restoration in the Patterson Park area.

The demolition of the alley-side wall has begun as we prepare for the next phase of structural improvements. To maintain the building's historic character while strengthening its foundation, we'll be installing a new footer and reusing the existing steel beam during the wall reconstruction.

The new footer has now been poured and is ready to support the rebuilt structure. Next up: constructing the new brick wall and continuing the careful restoration of this historic property.

Every step brings us closer to preserving this piece of Baltimore history for years to come. Stay tuned for more updates!

The masonry work and brick repair continue on this 1800s Baltimore carriage house in the Patterson Park area. The bricks above the courtyard door have been repaired, and a new steel lintel is now in place.

The wall pockets are ready to receive the new floor joists, and new steel lintels have also been installed above the courtyard windows as the structural restoration moves forward.

More progress on this 1800s Baltimore carriage house restoration in the Patterson Park area.

The courtyard wall is currently being repointed, helping preserve the integrity and character of the original masonry. Demolition of the alley-side wall has also begun in preparation for reconstruction. The plan is to install a new footer while reusing the existing steel beam as part of the rebuilt wall.

This week, the new footer for the alley wall was successfully poured, marking another important milestone. With the foundation work complete, we're ready to begin rebuilding the new brick wall next week.

Step by step, this historic structure is being carefully restored while maintaining the craftsmanship and character that have stood for generations.

It's great to see the beginning stages of this 1800's Baltimore Carriage house int he Patterson Park area. The interior framing and roof have been removed, and the ever-important structural bracing is in. Up next, rebuilding the front wall and other brick masonry.
