Back in March Santo & Debbie went to the CONEXPO-CON/AGG in Las Vegas!

While there, they learned of new software coming to the construction industry, new & improved equipment & gear! They soaked up as much information as they could during those 8 days, in order to continue to grow DSM Contracting!

Be on the lookout for some exciting new things we are rolling out to be used on local projects and make construction life just little bit easier!

Meet Debra, our President & majority Owner!

She began working in construction at 20 years old.

Debra graduated from UMBC with a degree in Computer Science, a Masters Degree from Johns Hopkins Carey School of Business, a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation, and several industry trade certifications. She also serves on the Board of Directors of ABC Greater Baltimore.

Several years ago Debra certified DSM as a Woman-Owned business with the both Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) as an MBE and with the City of Baltimore as a WBE.

Debra has a background that combines technical skills, project management and construction experience that gives her a unique perspective on the industry.

Today, Debra can be found working on project bids, financials, business development, general management, and peeking in on any of DSM's job sites!

Meet Christina, our Office Manager!

Christina began her career in the construction field 15 years ago.

She joined the DSM team in 2021 and brought her massive amount of knowledge along with her.

Christina handles much of the behind-the-scenes work that keeps DSM running efficiently. From AIA billing to office supplies, she's got it covered!

🙋‍♂️Meet Santo, our Vice-President!

He began working in construction at the age of 16.

Santo graduated from UMBC with a degree in Computer Science. He began working for the Federal Government before realizing that continuing work in the Construction field was his desired path.

In 2004, he and his wife, Debbie, began DSM Contracting!

Today, Santo can be found working on submittals, project bids, and management, or getting his hands dirty at any of DSM's job sites!

Do you have any idea what you're looking at? If you're familiar with the Ellicott City then you've probably seen this area many times.... 🤯

DSM recently finished replacing the retaining wall on River Road - commonly called Ilchester, after hundreds of years the old wall had begun to collapse. The crews at DSM worked tirelessly to get the new retaining wall up! 🏗

Meet Luna! 🐕 She doesn't have just one job title because she's a dog of all trades!

On this particular day she was overseeing a company meeting & making sure that everyone stayed on task!

She can often be found with Christina, our Office Manager (you'll meet her another day), or curled up in her bed taking a quick nap before her next meeting.

Luna only works a part-time schedule but man do we enjoy when she is here!

Meet Shane, our Project Engineer!

Shane is a fundamental part of the DSM team. He handles our project estimating, project management, submittals & tons more behind the scenes that contributes to DSM 's strong presence in the construction community.

Our CDL driver, Bobby, strapping down a piece of equipment for transport to one of many job sites!

As a CDL driver for DSM, Bobby is an integral part of the team. He does anything from monitoring material being loaded into his truck to hauling material on/off job sites to moving equipment from site to site and adhering to DOT compliance for his truck maintenance.

As DSM continues to grow we are looking to add additional CDL drivers. If you're interested and have CDL manual dump truck experience, please send us a message. We'd love to set up a time to speak with you!
