Ever close the vents in rooms you’re not using because it seems like it should save money?

Makes sense in theory, but it can actually make your HVAC system work harder. Your system is designed to move air throughout the house, and closing too many vents can throw off that airflow.

So go ahead and leave them open. One less thing on the home maintenance list. 😊

As August winds down, pay attention to how it’s running. Taking longer to cool the house? Running more than usual? Not quite as comfortable as it was earlier in the summer?

By August, it's been through heat, humidity and plenty of long days trying to keep the house comfortable.

Frosty Refrigeration has been family owned and serving local homeowners since 1951.

We're still here doing what we've always done. Answering the phone, showing up, being straight with our customers and taking care of their homes.

Okay, quick question. When's the last time you actually looked at your air filter?

No judgment if you can't remember. 😂 This is your reminder to go check it.

After a summer of your AC running and running, that filter can get pretty nasty. If it looks dirty, swap it out. It's one of the easiest things you can do to help your system breathe a little easier and keep the air moving through your home.

And yes, we're giving you permission to feel extremely accomplished afterward. One home maintenance task officially crossed off the list. ✔️

If you check the filter and realize your AC has something else going on, that's when you call us.

75 years. That's pretty incredible when you stop and think about it.

Frosty has been taking care of heating and cooling in Maryland homes since 1951. We've seen a lot change over the years, but the important stuff has stayed pretty simple. Be honest with people, do good work, and be there when they need you.
