JP2 Architects JP2 Architects is a full service architectural firm with experience in master planning, architecture, interiors, sustainability, and graphic design.

Our design process includes close collaboration with our clients and consultants. We work as cross-discipline teams and believe a sense of place is derived not only from architecture, but from an overlapping tapestry of planning, architecture, interiors, landscape, brand, graphics, and those myriad of intangibles often contributed by our clients themselves. We provide master planning, architecture, interiors, and graphic design from within the ranks of our own professional staff. In addition, we work with a long list of engineering and other consultants both regional and national to complete our team.

After years of planning and design, JP2 Architects is thrilled to see this vision begin to come to life and looks forward to its lasting impact on the Parkville community through the many programs and services it provides.

We were honored to celebrate the ribbon cutting for Plano-Coudon’s new headquarters in Columbia, MD! As longtime project partners, it was especially meaningful to have the opportunity to work alongside the Plano-Coudon team once again, this time helping bring their vision for a new home to life.

In 2022, JP2 Architects brought fresh energy and new possibilities to places ready for their next chapter.

This week’s featured projects, Northwood Commons and Harvest Hall, showcase JP2’s work in retail redevelopment and community-focused design, transforming existing facilities into modern, versatile spaces that serve the needs of their communities.

Northwood Commons expands access to shopping, dining, and everyday essentials, while Harvest Hall was reimagined as a flexible venue for Maryland State Fair events and community gatherings. Together, they reflect how strategic design can create lasting value and better serve the people who use these spaces.

In 2021, JP2 focused on creating spaces that support the people and programs that make communities thrive.
 
This week’s featured projects, Willow Grove and Long Reach Stonehouse Community Association & Columbia Art Center, showcase JP2’s work across community and cultural spaces, with renovations that improve functionality, accessibility, and the overall experience for the people who use them. 

From updated interiors to improved accessibility and renewed gathering spaces, these projects demonstrate how thoughtful design can give existing places new purpose while maintaining their connection to the community.

Last week, the JP2 Architects team had the honor of attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the American Cancer Society Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation Hope Lodge — Baltimore, MD.

The afternoon was filled with gratitude and inspiration as we heard from a former Hope Lodge guest and gained an even deeper appreciation for the American Cancer Society’s incredible work.

Celebrating this transformational project alongside American Cancer Society, our project partner Harkins Builders, Inc., and the remarkable community surrounding Hope Lodge made the occasion truly unforgettable.

From Governor Plaza in Glen Burnie to the Federal Street Garage in Baltimore, JP2 continued to create spaces that put people first, from refreshing an existing shopping center to transforming a utilitarian parking structure into a welcoming community landmark.
 
These projects reflect a year defined by change, but also by resilience. Through the uncertainty of the pandemic, JP2 remained committed to thoughtful design, strong local relationships, and creating spaces that serve the people who use them.

In 2019, JP2 continued expanding its impact across residential and hospitality design, creating thoughtfully designed environments that combine functionality, comfort, and community connection.
 
This week’s featured projects highlight JP2’s diverse approach to design, from The Gourmet at Kenilworth in Towson, Maryland, a 5,500-square-foot restaurant designed to elevate the coastal dining experience, to Hickory Flats in Bel Air, Maryland, a 100-unit multifamily residential development featuring a landscaped courtyard and resident-focused amenities. Together, these projects reflect JP2’s commitment to creating inviting spaces that enhance everyday experiences.
