JP2 Architects is a full service architectural firm with experience in master planning, architecture, interiors, sustainability, and graphic design.

Our design process includes close collaboration with our clients and consultants. We work as cross-discipline teams and believe a sense of place is derived not only from architecture, but from an overlapping tapestry of planning, architecture, interiors, landscape, brand, graphics, and those myriad of intangibles often contributed by our clients themselves. We provide master planning, architecture

, interiors, and graphic design from within the ranks of our own professional staff. In addition, we work with a long list of engineering and other consultants both regional and national to complete our team.

Last week, we shared the stunning horizontal views of Opal Apartments Largo Station, but these vertical shots deserved a moment of their own. ✨

In case you missed it: Opal Apartments Largo Station is our recently completed multifamily project spanning 570,000+ square feet and featuring 378 thoughtfully designed units. Between the residences and the shared amenity spaces, the design feels light with soft curves defining each space. Natural wood tones and rich colors create a calming, dreamlike atmosphere that encourages rest and renewal.

Special thanks to the incredible davis for beautifully capturing the ethereal atmosphere and elevated design woven throughout every space📸

We are excited to share the completion of Opal Apartments at Largo Station. This 378-unit multifamily community spans over 570,000+ square feet and redefines connection and everyday living. Located just steps from the metro, it pairs luxury amenities with unmatched convenience.

Curved forms, natural materials, and a serene, dreamlike aesthetic create spaces that restore, inspire, and energize. Every detail was intentionally crafted to blur the lines between work, wellness, and social life, forming a seamless and human-centered ecosystem. From layered gathering zones to effortless circulation, Opal prioritizes adaptability, community, and meaningful interaction, proving that thoughtful design shapes not just spaces, but how we live. 🏙️

We’re thrilled with how this project turned out, made possible through our collaboration with Chesapeake Contracting Group, Enterprises, The Dolben Company, Inc., and Lorax Partnerships LLCpartnerships we’re especially proud to share that the project achieved NGBS Multifamily Gold Certification.

Last week, JP2 Architects’ Interior Designer, Ashlee Huber, participated in an IIDA MAC Student Affairs panel at Morgan State University. Sharing her perspective as a young professional, Ashlee joined a dynamic group of voices spanning emerging, seasoned, and retired professionals across the industry.

We’re proud to see our team engaged in these conversations and grateful to be part of a community that continues to invest in its future. Opportunities like this foster connection, broaden perspective, and help shape the next generation of designers.

The conversation explored the many paths within the field, focusing on the transition from university to the workforce and the realities of practice, with dialogue spanning the balance of technical and soft skills as well as strategies for networking and building meaningful connections.

Sitting in on the discussion, it was impossible not to feel a deep sense of appreciation for the work of the IIDA Student Affairs Committee.

We’re proud to help bring new life to a former theater, reimagining it into a vibrant 26,000 SF community hub where connection, support, and opportunity come together under one roof. This space is designed to empower and uplift, creating meaningful experiences for all who walk through its doors.
