JP2 Architects

JP2 Architects JP2 Architects is a full service architectural firm with experience in master planning, architecture, interiors, sustainability, and graphic design.

Our design process includes close collaboration with our clients and consultants. We work as cross-discipline teams and believe a sense of place is derived not only from architecture, but from an overlapping tapestry of planning, architecture, interiors, landscape, brand, graphics, and those myriad of intangibles often contributed by our clients themselves. We provide master planning, architecture

, interiors, and graphic design from within the ranks of our own professional staff. In addition, we work with a long list of engineering and other consultants both regional and national to complete our team.

2017 was another meaningful year in JP2’s journey as we continued to grow our portfolio and bring our design expertise to a diverse range of spaces, from institutional facilities to dynamic retail environments.

Projects like Morgan State Public Safety Building in Baltimore, MD, and the Westfield Annapolis Food Court in Annapolis, MD, reflected JP2’s continued commitment to creating thoughtful, functional environments that respond to the needs of the people and communities they serve.

As we look back, these projects are a reminder of the versatility that has shaped JP2 over the past 20 years. From supporting growing institutions to revitalizing established spaces, each project has contributed to the story of who we are today.

2016 marked a milestone year in JP2’s history as we celebrated our 10th anniversary, entered our 11th year in business, and moved into our new home at 2811 Dillon Street.

There was no better way to celebrate than surrounded by the people who have been part of JP2’s journey. Friends, family, colleagues, clients, and supporters came together to celebrate a decade of growth, collaboration, and shared memories while looking ahead to the future.

As we reflect on this milestone, we are grateful for everyone who has helped shape JP2 over the past 20 years. Now, as we look toward another major milestone this October, our 20th anniversary, we’re celebrating the people, projects, and moments that brought us here.

Did you know? Restaurants are part of our story, too.

We love creating spaces where good design meets good food, and where people want to linger.

Who is your favorite artist you’ve seen at Merriweather? 🎶

In 2015, JP2 Architects began the revitalization of Merriweather Post Pavilion with thoughtful renovations and new construction, introducing new restrooms and concessions while transforming the stage and back-of-house areas. The project blended modern design with mid-century-inspired elements to create a refreshed and elevated concert venue experience.

These projects focused on creating a more engaging experience for visitors while giving an established destination new life and a renewed sense of place.

We’re not just designing the space. We’re part of the process.
Interior Designer Vicki Myers recently got hands-on at The Collaboratory, helping install epoxy flake flooring as part of its transformation with Scott Weiner.

It’s been exciting to watch this former industrial building take shape as a new space for makers, builders, and fresh ideas.

A little break from the usual design grind and a chance to get into the field. 👷‍♀️

A successful renovation does more than update a building. It reconnects it with its community. 🏗️🤝

In 2014, JP2 continued transforming retail environments with a focus on revitalization, accessibility, and community connection.

This week's featured projects highlight JP2's approach to retail redevelopment, combining updated façades, improved pedestrian access, new amenities, and modern interiors to extend the life of established shopping centers. The Shops at Kenilworth earned a 2018 Award of Merit from the Associated Builders and Contractors Excellence in Construction Awards.

These projects also reflect JP2's growing impact in retail design and the lasting client relationships built through thoughtful collaboration and successful redevelopment.

2013 was a year of creating destinations that bring people together. From transforming former industrial and retail sites into vibrant shopping experiences to expanding award-winning residential communities, JP2 continued to shape places where people can live, shop, gather, and connect.

Between Foundry Row’s pedestrian-friendly streetscape and the thoughtfully designed Crest II residential community, each project reflects our commitment to creating environments that put people and their experiences first.

These projects reinforced a philosophy that continues to define JP2 today: great design goes beyond buildings. It creates experiences, strengthens communities, and delivers lasting value through every detail.
