Last Friday, our Laurens and Carey House project team came together to support Safe Streets Sandtown & Penn-North’s back-to-school event by collecting and donating school supplies for local students.

A big thank you to Nick, Logan, Brad, and Chris for helping make a difference and giving back to the Baltimore community where we’re building. We’re proud to see our teams put our commitment to serving others into action. 💪

The Southway team recently completed the Duke Raleigh Executive Drive Imaging Clinic at MOB 9, marking another successful project for Duke University Health System. The 6,829 SF, ground-level clinic features two CT imaging rooms with dedicated control room, patient rooms, a full waiting and reception area, mechanical and equipment rooms, and supporting mechanical infrastructure and equipment.

We’re proud to have partnered with Array Architects and Dewberry to deliver this specialized healthcare space and to continue supporting the evolving needs of Duke Health and its patients.

Our Southeast team will be at ULI Triangle’s Healthcare in the Built Environment Lunch & Learn on August 18. Matt Bolyard, Monica Gainey, and Jamie Bailey will be there to hear from industry experts, exchange ideas, and connect with others shaping the future of healthcare real estate and construction.

The discussion will explore emerging healthcare models, including outpatient and integrated behavioral health facilities, along with the challenges of financing, staffing, project delivery, and designing adaptable environments that support patients and healthcare teams.

Southway is excited to celebrate the completion of The Associated: Jewish Federation of Baltimore’s Goldsmith Campus.

The transformation of the former Jewish Community Center of Baltimore’s Park Heights Campus into a new 10-acre community hub marks an important investment in the future of Baltimore’s Jewish community. The newly reimagined 113,490 SF campus brings together The Associated’s corporate headquarters, the Center for Sports & Wellness, the Jewish Library of Baltimore, along with flexible multipurpose and conference spaces. Extensive exterior improvements were also completed to enhance accessibility and overall site functionality.

We’re thankful to The Associated: Jewish Federation of Baltimore, Quinn Evans, and the entire project team for their collaboration and partnership throughout the project. It’s been a privilege to help bring this new community space to life, one that will serve Baltimore for generations to come.

Wednesday marked our Northeast team's annual crab feast, bringing everyone together for a day of great food, great company, and a true Maryland tradition.🦀

Each year, team members from the office and jobsites gather at Nick's Fish House to enjoy beautiful weather, crack some crabs, and spend time together outside of the workday. It's a chance to catch up with colleagues, share a few laughs, and celebrate the people who make our team so special.

A sincere thank you to everyone who helped coordinate this year's crab feast and to everyone who joined us. We appreciate each of you for making this annual Maryland tradition another memorable one!

Today, we're celebrating National Intern Day and recognizing the incredible group of interns who have spent their summer learning, growing, and making an impact at Southway and the communities we serve.

Over the past 12 weeks, they've gained hands-on experience by rotating through the roles and contributing to real projects while learning from experienced mentors across our company.

Their curiosity, hard work, and willingness to take on new challenges have made a lasting impression, and we're excited to see where their careers take them. Thank you to our interns and to Penn State University, University of Maryland, Michigan State University, Chowan University, Morgan State University, and Towson University for helping develop the next generation of construction professionals.

Happy Friday! What better way to close out the week than by welcoming two new teammates to Southway's Northeast team! 👏

Please join us in welcoming Natalie and Roni to Southway!

Natalie joins us as a Project Engineer, bringing a B.S. in Construction Management and hands-on experience supporting commercial construction projects from planning through ex*****on. She enjoys collaborating with project teams, staying organized, and helping deliver safe, high-quality work. Outside of work, Natalie enjoys exploring new places around the city. Among her many experiences and accomplishments, she's a licensed pilot and competed in the Little League Softball World Series as a kid!

Roni joins Southway as a Project Executive, bringing extensive experience leading ground-up construction, large-scale renovations, and capital improvement programs across multifamily, hospitality, and senior living projects. She has a proven track record of protecting owner interests, aligning stakeholders, and delivering projects from preconstruction through completion while keeping schedules, budgets, and quality on track. Outside of work, Roni enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, has a passion for railroads (she's even a member of the B&O Railroad Museum!), and loves knitting, often returning from trips with yarn instead of traditional souvenirs.

We're excited to have both of you on the team and look forward to all you'll accomplish. Welcome to Southway! 🎉
