Hirsch Electric is excited to get 2026 started with St. John Properties at the new Aspen at Greenleigh multifamily building in White Marsh, MD.

Boasting a unit count of 335, this large project will have a unique twist. The construction method will be insulated concrete forms, a first for a project of this size in this area, and a first for our team.

Four BGE services totaling 11,000 amps provide power to the apartments and common spaces, and a 300KW gas generator backs up the essential loads.

Concealed within the building is a 469 space parking garage with a separate 5,000 amp service to accommodate dozens of electric vehicle charging stations.

We are excited to announce that Coakley & Williams Construction has selected Hirsch Electric as the electrical subcontractor for the new Maryland Supreme Court building in Annapolis!

This new 220,000 square foot facility will house the State Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, State Law Library, and Maryland History Museum.

Construction will take three years and will be the first all-electric public building in the State of Maryland.

The new Supreme Court of Maryland will capture the hearts of citizens, while also meeting the demands of a 21st-century judicial facility.

On the Baltimore Peninsula, at the site of the razed Locke Insulator factory, Hirsch Electric puts the finishing touches on . A two building, design/build project with Greystar totaling 425 market rate apartments, parking garage, and site.

The west building is now substantially complete, and work continues on the east building and exterior.

Here is a sneak preview of the finished spaces. More to follow as the project wraps up later this year.

Hirsch Electric recently completed a renovation of the Jewish Museum of Maryland with The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company.

The project included a transformation of the Museum front of house, including interior entrance, lobby, and orientation space, the construction of a new gallery space that can be used for multiple purposes, including performances, exhibits, and video shoots, and the construction of an audio/video studio to produce podcasts, oral histories, and video projects.

There are always challenges and uncertainties while performing renovation work, but with great teamwork from all involved the project was a resounding success!

Hirsch Electric is proud to be involved in restoring a part of Baltimore’s history.
