🏈💜 KANSAS, WE NEED YOUR HELP! 💜🏈

What if ONE vote a day could help change the future for generations of Kansas kids?

Baldwin City is a small, one-stoplight Kansas town with BIG hometown pride. But did you know that Baldwin High School is the ONLY 4A school in Kansas without its own football stadium?

Our Bulldogs don't have their own field with stadium lights and bleachers. Instead, we spend thousands of dollars renting a nearby university stadium just to play our HOME games. That's money that could be going toward uniforms, equipment, and opportunities for our student athletes.

Now, we have a chance to change that! 🩷

Baldwin High School is the ONLY KANSAS SCHOOL LEFT in T-Mobile's Friday Night 5G Lights competition, with a chance to win a $1 MILLION stadium upgrade!

We're currently in SECOND PLACE, behind a school that already has its own football stadium, marble hallways, and even a clock tower.

We're not asking for marble hallways or a clock tower. We're just asking for a place our kids can call HOME. 🥹💜

And this isn't just about football. It's about our band, cheerleaders, youth programs, and generations of Kansas kids who deserve the opportunity to play and perform under their own Friday night lights.

📣 KANSAS, WILL YOU RALLY BEHIND OUR KIDS?

🗳️ Vote for Baldwin High School EVERY DAY through October 25th!

🩷🏈 LET'S PAINT THE TOWN MAGENTA, BALDWIN CITY! 🏈🩷

Our Baldwin Bulldogs have made it into the TOP 40 schools in the NATION for T-Mobile's Friday Night 5G Lights competition, and we have a chance to bring something truly incredible home to our little one-stoplight town!

If you know Baldwin City, you know how much pride we have in our community. We show up for our kids, we support our neighbors, and we rally together when it matters. Well, Baldwin, THIS MATTERS! 💜

Right now, our high school doesn't even have its own football stadium. Our Bulldogs have to play their home games at a rented facility instead of on their own campus. Winning this competition could change that for generations of students to come!

🏆 HERE'S WHAT'S AT STAKE!

🩷 We've already earned $25,000 just by making the Top 40!

🩷 If we win our division, Baldwin High School will receive $250,000, a Gronk Fitness Gym upgrade, and a $5,000 student leadership award!

🩷 If we go ALL THE WAY, we could win the $1 MILLION GRAND PRIZE toward a home field upgrade!

Imagine our Bulldogs finally playing under the Friday night lights on their OWN campus! A stadium with lights, turf, and facilities that our football players, marching band, cheerleaders, and future generations of Baldwin athletes can proudly call HOME!

This is about SO much more than football. It's about investing in our kids, our schools, and the future of our community. It's about giving our small town opportunities that can make a BIG difference!

📣 BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Voting is open NOW through OCTOBER 25TH, and you can vote ONCE EVERY SINGLE DAY!

🗳️ VOTE HERE: https://fn5gl.t-mobile.com/vote/baldwin-high-school

You don't have to live in Baldwin City to vote! Share this with your friends, family, coworkers, neighbors, and EVERYONE you know! Set a daily reminder, share the link, and keep those votes coming!

We may be a small town, but we have a whole lot of heart, and when this community comes together, incredible things happen. 💜

Let's show the nation what Hometown pride looks like and bring those Friday night lights HOME!

🌬️ That wind came through FAST yesterday!

It sounds like it may have been a microburst, and if your home was in its path, you may be wondering what happened to your roof, siding, windows, or gutters.
We’re not here to take advantage of anyone’s misfortune. We’re your neighbors, and we’re here to help.

If you’re concerned about possible damage, give Hometown Construction a call. We can take a look, help you understand what you’re seeing, and let you know what we recommend.

One thing we really want homeowners to be aware of: insurance coverage for wind and hail damage has changed significantly over the years, and many homeowners may not realize just how much their coverage has changed. Policies can have higher deductibles, limited coverage, or other provisions that can make a big difference when it comes time to file a claim.

That’s why we highly recommend having a contractor evaluate the damage before you contact your insurance company. Know what you’re dealing with first, so you can make an informed decision about whether filing a claim makes sense for you.

No pressure. No scare tactics. Just honest answers from your hometown contractor. 🩵

Over the past few years, Hometown Construction has been incredibly blessed by this community.

As we've grown, we've made it a priority to give more back every single year by supporting our schools, youth athletics, local nonprofits, community events, and organizations that make Baldwin City such a special place to live.

Many people don't realize that much of that journey began with the Baldwin City Chamber of Commerce.

When we were a young business, the Chamber welcomed us, connected us with other business owners, introduced us to organizations doing incredible work in our community, and gave us opportunities to become involved. They didn't just help us grow our business. They gave us a place in this community.

The Chamber has never asked us to support Baldwin City. It simply made it impossible not to want to.

That is why I was disappointed to learn that the proposed City budget would significantly reduce funding for the Chamber.

This is about much more than one organization.

It's about whether we continue investing in the partnerships that have helped make Baldwin City one of the most vibrant small towns in Kansas. The festivals, markets, holiday events, business support, tourism, and countless community connections that so many of us enjoy don't simply happen on their own. They happen because people and organizations are willing to invest in making this town better.

As a business owner, I understand budgets. I also understand return on investment. Some investments don't just pay for themselves. They multiply. The Chamber has been one of those investments.

I also believe that success carries responsibility. As Hometown Construction has grown, our responsibility to this community has grown with it. We will continue investing in Baldwin City because we love this town and the people who call it home.

Whether you own a business, volunteer for a nonprofit, coach a youth team, attend community events, or simply enjoy living here, you've likely benefited from work the Chamber helped make possible.

If you believe the Chamber has made a positive impact on your business, your family, or our community, I encourage you to respectfully reach out to the Mayor and City Council. Share your own story. Tell them why you believe this partnership matters.

Communities like Baldwin City are not inherited.

They are built.

Let's keep building.
