Base always super thick. Concrete super thick.
Everything I do is for longevity of the stone work.
We use large grain sand for strength of mortar joints when pointing

Got the start of first flower layed 6 more petals to be added had to get this set first as it's the basis of the rest. Biggest flower offset left top.
Only have 5 cut. Depending on space may go 7-9-or 11 keeping it odd;)
