Swipe through to see the difference between 3/4" gravel, pea gravel, mixed gravel, and drain rock — what each one's actually good for, and why using the wrong one in the wrong spot can cause real problems (yes, even foundation problems).

Short version: if it needs to stay put, you want gravel. If it needs to let water through, you want drain rock. Mixing that up is how yards end up with standing water — or worse.
