Burlington Celebrates Grand Opening in Crossroads Plaza

Bakersfield residents, including residents of nearby Highgate at Seven Oaks, couldn't wait to get their first look at the new Burlington store in Crossroads Plaza, the newest shopping center in southwest Bakersfield. Created by legendary developer Castle & Cooke, Crossroads Plaza offers another convenient shopping experience for communities on Bakersfield's growing west side. The line outside Burlington started early, especially since the first 100 shoppers would each receive a $10 Burlington gift card just for coming in. The brand new 25,000 square foot store also made a generous donation of $5,000 to Loudon Elementary School to benefit students and staff who are just starting the new school year. Burlington is just one of the many great stores and restaurants that will be making Crossroads Plaza home. Look for Marshalls, Home Goods and Target, too. Lululemon Calls The Shops at River Walk Home After Relocation

Area residents, community leaders, and elected officials gathered alongside Lululemon team members as Lululemon celebrated its Grand Opening in The Shops at Riverwalk. With over three times the space of its previous location Lululemon has expanded its selection of athletic apparel, accessories, and lifestyle products. During grand opening week, the store hosted its weekly Lululemon Run Club, which meets every Thursday evening in front of the store. Each week, 40 to 50 local runners gather for a community 5K that will take them through the lush River Walk Park, creating an opportunity for participants of all experience levels to stay active, build friendships, and embrace Lululemon’s mission of helping people feel their best physically, mentally, and socially. This new location is perfect for fitness conscious residents of west Bakersfield communities like Highgate at Seven Oaks, where residents also enjoy the Parkshire Pool & Pavilion and the Highgate Swim & Fitness Clubhouse.
