Thermostat says 72. Floors say otherwise.

Cold air pools in the crawl space and pulls heat right out of your floors all winter long. No thermostat setting fixes it, because at that point you're paying to heat the ground under your house.

Insulating and sealing the crawl space stops the drain. Warmer floors, shorter heating cycles, and the added benefit of keeping moisture and pests out of a space most people never look at.

Nobody notices a home getting less efficient, because nothing ever actually breaks. By the time your wallet see's it, it can be too late.

Insulation settles and compresses. Duct tape dries out and lets go. Weather stripping flattens. None of it looks wrong from the hallway, so it never gets checked. Meanwhile your system runs a little longer every season to hit the same number on the thermostat.
