More Room. More Function. Built to Last. đźšś

This project was all about turning unused space into something functional.

The homeowner needed additional driveway width along with a dedicated parking area for their camper. We started from the ground up to make sure the finished product wasn’t just bigger—it was built properly.

🌲 Several tall pine trees were removed to open up the area, followed by complete stump removal.

đźšś We then brought in fill dirt to establish the proper grade, shaped the new area, and thoroughly compacted the material to create a solid foundation.

🪨 Once the subgrade was established, we hauled in commercial base material, graded it to match the existing driveway, and mechanically compacted it to produce a firm, smooth, hard-surface finish.

The end result: approximately 1800 square feet of new usable driveway and parking space, including plenty of room for the camper.

The before, during, and after photos really show the transformation—and just as importantly, the work that went underneath it.

Remember the bamboo jungle we cleared a few weeks ago? 🌿➡️

Here’s the finished product.

After removing the massive bamboo overgrowth, we intentionally left the site rough graded while Mother Nature did her part. With the recent rain, allowing the soil to dry before final grading was the right decision—and today it paid off.

Using precision grading techniques, we left the property with a smooth, properly contoured surface and a perfect finish that’s ready for whatever the homeowner chooses next—whether that’s lush new sod or a freshly seeded lawn.

Sometimes the difference between an average result and a professional one is knowing when to wait. Rushing wet soil leads to ruts, compaction issues, and poor results. Taking the time to do it right is what delivers a surface that’s ready to thrive.

At Cedar Vale Landscape, we don’t just move dirt—we create the foundation for everything that comes next.

🔧 The step you'd drive right past.

The Drag Mat — pulled behind the mower over every inch of dirt before sod ever touches the ground.

Its job: break up clumps, knock down high spots, leave a dead-smooth base.

Skip it → bumps, dips, puddles for years.
Do it → sod roots into a perfect surface from day one.

The "after" photo doesn't happen without steps like this.

From Rough Ground to a Finished Driveway. đźšś

A well-built driveway is about much more than what you see on the surface. It’s all about the preparation underneath.

For this project, we transformed approximately 300 feet of rough ground into a smooth, durable driveway and parking area using 64 tons of double-ground asphalt millings.

Here’s how we did it:
✔️ Properly prepared and graded the base
✔️ Compacted the subgrade for a solid foundation
✔️ Installed the asphalt millings in approximately 2-inch lifts
✔️ Compacted each lift before adding the next, ensuring long-term strength and stability

The end result is a smooth, tightly compacted driveway that’s built to perform—not just look good on day one.

At Cedar Vale Landscape, we believe doing the job right the first time saves our customers time, money, and future headaches.

If you’re considering a new driveway, parking area, or existing driveway renovation, we’d be happy to help.

Swipe to the end… you won’t believe it’s the same property. 👀

What started as a dry, lifeless lawn with no defined borders, very little color, and an overall uninviting appearance has been completely reimagined into a landscape that’s both beautiful and functional.

Every great outdoor space starts with a plan, and this one came together with the help of some outstanding partners.

âś… We created clean, well-defined landscape beds filled with complementary plants and shrubs to add color, texture, and year-round curb appeal.

âś… Our partners at A1 Lawn Care and Landscaping LLC installed beautiful concrete curbing in a cobblestone pattern, giving each bed a crisp, finished look that will stand the test of time.

âś… We installed a stunning custom wood privacy fence that transformed the backyard into a private outdoor living space perfect for relaxing and entertaining.

âś… The irrigation system was expanded and redesigned for better coverage while keeping water efficiency a top priority.

âś… The entire property was regraded to improve drainage while creating a smoother, more comfortable lawn.

âś… Finally, we finished everything with lush, premium Zoysia sod from Squires Turf, tying the entire project together with a thick, beautiful lawn.

The difference is incredible. This isn’t just a new yard—it’s an entirely new property.

A huge thank you to our partners who helped bring this vision to life. We love seeing what can happen when quality craftsmanship and attention to detail come together.

If you’re ready to completely transform your property—not just maintain it—we’d love to help.

More to come…

What started as a heavily wooded and overgrown area is well on its way to becoming a huge, usable backyard.

For this phase of the project, we cleared trees, root matter, and dense vegetation all the way down to bare soil before performing a rough grade to establish the new layout. The result? We’ve already doubled the size of the property’s usable lot.

But we’re not finished yet.

In just two weeks, we’ll be back to perform the final grading, smooth everything out, and install sod to completely transform this space into a beautiful, functional backyard.

Be sure to follow along—these before-and-after photos are going to be worth the wait.

đźšś From Standing Water to a Solid Foundation đźšś

We recently had the opportunity to help a new customer solve two major issues on their property—a front lawn that held water after every rain and a driveway that had become thin, rutted, and full of potholes.

To correct the drainage problems, we moved a significant amount of material, bringing in over 120 tons of fill dirt to raise the low areas while cutting down the high spots to create proper grade and improve water runoff. Areas that were once holding 4 inches of standing water are now shaped to drain as intended.

The driveway received a complete transformation as well. We constructed a beautiful 425+ foot winding driveway, bordered with railroad ties and built to last. The project required over 150 tons of commercial base material, which was installed and compacted in multiple lifts to create a durable surface capable of providing years of reliable service.

The progress photos in this album tell the story far better than words ever could. We take pride in doing the job right the first time, and that starts with proper grading, quality materials, and thorough compaction.

Thank you to our new customer for trusting Cedar Vale Landscape with this project!
