Last week, 3 members of our team volunteered their time at the Girls Construction Camp hosted by NAWIC - the National Association of Women in Construction. The Girls Construction Camp is a week-long, hand-on program for girls in 7th and 8th grade.

This camp provides real-world exposure to construction and design through jobsite visits, hands-on activities, and engagement with industry professionals. It is about building the next generation of construction leaders. The girls got to listen to guest speakers, learned how to use power tools, how to plumb bathroom fixtures, and so much more! Each group of girls built their own green house to auction off and help raise money for future camps.

Thank you to Kim, Lori, and Susie for volunteering to help with this great program.

Day in and day out, Dakota shows up to the job site with the right gear, the right attitude, and a genuine commitment to doing things the right way. It's not just about following procedures, it's about understanding why those procedures matter and modeling that for everyone around them. What makes Dakota stand out isn't one big dramatic moment; it's the accumulation of small, consistent choices. Proper PPE, every time. A tidy, hazard-free work area. Stopping to speak up when something doesn't look right. These habits don't happen by accident; they reflect real character.
