From South Florida to the Nevada desert.

Recently, two of our project managers flew out to Fallon, Nevada to oversee a large-scale road maintenance project at U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Stillwater National Wildlife Refuge. The project included coordinating the delivery of approximately 16,000 tons of aggregate to help restore and resurface more than 6 miles of Hunter Road throughout the refuge.

Stillwater National Wildlife Refuge plays a major role in protecting wetlands and migratory bird habitats in the Great Basin region, making reliable roadway access critical for refuge staff and ongoing conservation. Being able to support projects in places like this is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

We’re excited to introduce the team behind Giving Tree!
Our founders, Joel and Paul, alongside project managers Colby and Sebastien, and Steffanie supporting administrative and compliance efforts that keep everything running smoothly.

Honorable mentions to our four-legged team members, Olive and Bear.

A huge thank you to Andrea and Edith at South Oak Creative for capturing these amazing photos!

☆ Park highlight: Mount Rainier National Park

Rising 14,410 feet above Washington State, Mount Rainier is an active volcano surrounded by glaciers, wildflower meadows, and ecosystems that support the region far beyond the park itself. From vibrant summer blooms to some of the snowiest winters in the country, this landscape is always changing while continuing to play an essential role in supporting regional water systems and ongoing conservation efforts.

Places like this are a reminder of why preserving access to our public lands is so important!

We recently completed a project at Fort Bragg, where we supported operations by supplying and delivering crush and run aggregate along with sand clay material.

These materials are used as a stable base for roads, training areas, and construction, helping create surfaces that can handle constant use and heavy equipment across the installation.

Fort Bragg is one of the largest military installations in the world, with thousands of personnel relying on well-maintained infrastructure every day. It’s a good reminder that even material supply plays a direct role in supporting day-to-day operations at that scale.

We’re proud to be part of it!

Working alongside national parks across the U.S. continues to show us just how much diversity exists within protected land — from extreme environments to iconic landscapes.

Here are a few facts we’ve picked up along the way:

☆ Death Valley National Park is the hottest place on Earth, with temperatures recorded as high as 134°F.

☆ Denali National Park and Preserve is home to the highest peak in North America, standing at 20,310 feet.

☆ Yosemite National Park is home to Half Dome, a granite formation shaped by glaciers and rising nearly 5,000 feet above the valley floor.

☆ National parks protect an incredible range of environments — including deserts, glaciers, coral reefs, and volcanic landscapes.

We’re proud to support projects that contribute to accessibility of these public lands.

☆ Last week we attended the grand opening of the new nature trail at Welaka National Fish Hatchery in Crescent City, Florida.

We’re proud to have supported this project by supplying the stone materials used to complete the trail. It’s always rewarding to see a project come full circle and open for the public to enjoy.

Shoutout to our Project Manager, Colby, for helping make it happen!

📌 Conservation Spotlight

Wildlife researchers recently confirmed sightings of the coastal marten in northern California, a species that was once thought to be nearly gone from the region.

In partnership with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, U.S Forest Service, and state agencies, scientists set up remote trail cameras across forested areas in northern California and captured clear evidence of the animal’s presence. The coastal marten depends on mature, connected forest habitat, so its return shows that long-term conservation and habitat management efforts are making a measurable difference!

Another completed project in the books at McAlester Army Ammunition Plant and this is just one of several we’ve completed at this facility.

We supplied railroad ballast materials to support on-site infrastructure, helping keep operations moving at one of the largest conventional munitions facilities in the country. Spanning tens of thousands of acres in southeastern Oklahoma, McAlester plays a major role in ammunition production, storage, and demilitarization for the United States Army.

📌 Conservation Spotlight

More than 2,200 miles of off-road routes were recently closed across the western Mojave Desert to protect fragile habitat and support recovery of threatened wildlife like the desert tortoise.

The closures affect lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management and follow years of concern over how unmanaged vehicle access was impacting soil stability, native vegetation, and wildlife movement corridors. By limiting traffic in high impact areas, land managers are working to reduce habitat fragmentation and give damaged landscapes time to recover naturally.

Decisions like this shape more than maps. They influence habitat health, species survival, and how resilient these landscapes will be for generations to come.

We recently completed emergency repair support along Tallulah River Road, located within the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest in the Chattooga River Ranger District, in support of the USDA Forest Service.

This roadway follows the Tallulah River through a steep, high-elevation watershed and serves as a critical access route for forest operations, public recreation, and emergency response. When localized failures threatened access and stability, timely repairs were essential to protect both infrastructure and surrounding natural resources. Our team supplied rip rap and aggregate materials to reinforce affected sections and restore safe, reliable access in a sensitive mountain watershed.

Proud to support the Forest Service in maintaining resilient access across our national forests.
