It may look like just another construction zone now, but just wait.

This is the stage where you can really see the craftsmanship and planning behind the walls. Framing defines each room, the windows bring in the Hill Country views, and all the details that will eventually be hidden behind the finished walls are starting to come together.

There’s still a lot to do, but watching a home transform from framing to finished space is one of the best parts of the process.

So, how long does it actually take to build a custom home?

Building a custom home is a process, and every phase plays an important role in bringing your vision to life. From the initial design and site preparation to framing, finishes, and the final walkthrough, there’s a lot that happens behind the scenes before you get the keys.

Based on the homes we’ve built so far, our average build time has been about 10 months from the time we start scratching dirt to completion. This timeline is possible because of the hands-on approach we take to every project, with our team actively managing the build throughout the process.

Of course, every home is different, and timelines can vary depending on the scope of the project, materials, weather, and other unforeseen circumstances.

Jett & Cruz are back in school, so they’re taking another week off from construction updates!

But we didn’t want you to miss what’s happening on site.

Last time, the boys told you how the next step was adding plywood to the walls, along with the windows and doors. Now, the decking, sheathing, windows, and doors are all in, and the difference is huge!

This home is really starting to take shape, and there’s plenty more to come. Follow along to see the next steps as this build continues to come together!
