Another beautiful horizontal, Western Red Cedar privacy fence completed in Georgetown, TX.

This large yard called for a clean, modern horizontal design that delivered privacy, durability, and pool safety. Our team installed gates with self-closing, self-latching hardware and carefully built the gate framing to meet Georgetown’s pool barrier requirements. We also incorporated a pressure-treated rot board along the bottom of the fence in areas where their dogs would have free reign to protect the cedar pickets from ground contact and help extend the life of the fence.

The result is a timeless cedar fence that complements the home’s limestone exterior while providing secure access to the pool area for years to come.

If you’re looking for a fence that combines craftsmanship, safety, and curb appeal, we’d love to help.

This custom 2x2 vertical cedar privacy fence is built to look beautiful and to stay that way for years to come.

Instead of nailing the pickets to wood rails, every board is individually screwed to a custom welded corten steel frame. That means a stronger fence, easier maintenance if a board ever needs to be replaced, and a structure that’s built for the long haul.

We also have to give credit where it’s due—the stunning weathered steel wall next to it was installed by the builder. We didn’t build it, but it’s absolutely the kind of custom steel work we love creating. Paired with the warm cedar tones of the new privacy fence, it creates a private outdoor space that’s modern and timeless.

If you’re looking for a custom backdrop for your yard—we’d love to help bring your vision to life.

This homeowner’s HOA required their trash and recycling bins to be screened from the street. But this isn’t your average privacy screen.

From the street, you can’t see a thing behind this custom welded steel privacy screen. But as you walk toward the home, the viewing angle changes and the space behind it becomes visible. It creates privacy where it’s needed while maintaining visibility and awareness of what’s behind it.

We fabricated this screen from raw steel, which is already developing a beautiful natural patina. Over time, it will continue to weather into a rich, uniform rust finish that complements the brick, stone, and native landscaping perfectly.

This is also a great solution if you live in Austin’s WUI zone which requires fire resistant materials next to the home.

If you’re looking for a custom steel privacy screen, gate, or fence that’s designed specifically for your home, we’d love to help.

We might be a little biased, but we pretty much think our crews are the best. We’ll just let these photos speak to the quality that we strive for with every job.

This style is called a horizontal shadow box. In this particular design, the pickets are intentionally a bit narrower at the top than they are at the bottom.

There are a lot of reasons this style is great:
• It looks awesome.
• It’s incredibly sturdy.
• It lets air flow through while still providing full privacy.

Plus, it looks the same from both sides. Happy neighbors, happy life… right?

If you’re searching for a fence solution that looks great from both sides, just request a quote. We’ve got plenty to recommend.

This is something we see all too often. Fence contractors who offer “cheap” prices often move really fast to maximize profits. But fast often means corners get cut.

One common reason fences fail are due to rotting wood posts. Treated pine is still wood, and will still rot over time with the constant exposure to moisture, bugs, and dirt. That’s just nature, y’all.

Another reason fences fail early is because the installers didn’t dig deep enough. Texas soil is notorious for shifting. So, 11” deep just isn’t gonna cut it.

Above ground, a fence might look great after install. But within months it could start leaning, costing you even more in the long run to repair.

Not every project is black, white, or wood toned… and that’s exactly why we love custom fabrication.

We custom fabricated these perforated steel fence panels and had them powder coated in a vibrant yellow. It’s hard to imagine seeing another fence quite like this.

Custom work always teaches us something new. In this case, we learned that flies apparently love the color yellow… and this particular perforated steel pattern is the perfect size for them to get themselves stuck. 😳 Not exactly part of the design plan, but definitely an unexpected lesson.

Powder coating also comes with a few realities. Because of the way parts are hung during the coating process, items like drop rods, latches, or other hard-to-reach areas may occasionally need touch-up after installation. It also adds time and cost to a project, but the tradeoff is a finish that’s exceptionally durable, weather resistant, and available in almost any color you can imagine.

If you’re considering a custom color for your next project, just be sure to check your HOA or any deed restrictions first.

At Paragon Fence & Outdoor, we love bringing one-of-a-kind ideas like this to life.

Sometimes it’s the small details that make a space feel complete.

For this project, we fabricated custom steel stair railing and installed a steel garden retaining wall to improve both function and appearance.

The railing is headed to the powder coater next, where it will receive a durable black finish designed to withstand the weather while complementing the home’s existing colors and architecture. It’s a simple addition that adds functionality, longevity, and a polished finished look.

It’s hard to believe this is the same spot.

The original masonry retaining wall had deteriorated significantly over time, with cracking and movement that made it difficult to continue serving its intended purpose. After evaluating the site, the unstable sections were removed and replaced with a tiered retaining wall system designed to better work with the existing grade.

To complete the project, we also installed a new crushed granite pathway that ties the space together and provides easier access through the landscape.

Every property presents its own challenges, and this one required a thoughtful approach to improve the space while working within the unique conditions of the site.

This was just the first phase and believe it or not, the steps are temporary until the next phase of work begins.

In the age of AI it’s kind of a no-brainer to give homeowners a clearer picture of what their project might look like before breaking ground. Fence, pergola, retaining wall—being able to visualize the finished result makes the whole process easier and leads to better decisions.

At Paragon we use a combination of design tools and AI to put together project renderings. We don’t do this every single time, because some projects are pretty straightforward. But we often do custom jobs, where a standard style might not do the trick.

It’s also not about running a thousand prompts until something looks exact. It’s about giving you a realistic idea of what we’re going to build so we’re aligned before anything gets started.

If you want to explore ideas on your own before reaching out to anyone, take a photo of your home, head over to an image-generating AI tool, and ask it to mock up different fence styles and heights. It’s a surprisingly useful way to figure out what direction you’re going. Keep in mind a lot of those tools limit how many they’ll generate for free.

And this is also important: just because someone can produce a polished rendering doesn’t mean they know how to build what’s in it. Always look at real project photos. Ask questions. Make sure the company you hire can actually deliver what they’re showing you.

Every photo on our website and social media feature real projects. No stock images, no AI-generated project photos. What you see is what we do.
