Last month, we celebrated the unveiling of commissioned artwork created by artists from in partnership with . As part of Phase One of HACA’s office renovation, each piece features a Texas native flower and lives within conference rooms named in its honor.

We are grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with local artists and extend our thanks to Art From the Streets for helping bring this vision to life.

It’s a meaningful example of how great design in urban places is more than buildings - it reflects community, creativity, and care.

Our team spent time at Capital Studios as part of our URBAN GOOD initiative, connecting with residents in a place that’s making a meaningful impact in our city.

A little space. A little cowboy. All Austin.

We’re sharing a closer look at how great design in urban places tells stories — and makes Austin feel unmistakably like Austin.

Visit Austin’s new headquarters, brought to life inside an 1897 Historic Landmark, is a welcoming destination and a layered experience that reflects the city’s unmistakable energy and character. The transformation expands the retail store footprint, adds a vibrant coffee shop, and creates a flexible event venue.

The Space Cowboy concept ties Austin’s forward-thinking spirit to its independent western roots, balancing bold color, dynamic lighting, and progressive detailing with authenticity, craftsmanship, and a true sense of place. Murals by two Austin-based artists further embed the environment in the city’s creative pulse, while colorful furniture and LED-lit portals draw guests throughout the space.

We’re thrilled to have brought this vision to life, creating a space that embodies Austin’s creativity, character, and vibrancy.

On Friday, we were honored to receive a 2025 IIDA TX/OK Design Excellence Award in the Retail category for the Austin Visitor Center - Visit Austin.

The project, led by Mackenzie Dye, Alex DeCarlo, and Jennifer Jarl McCombs from our Interiors team, reimagines a historic building in downtown as both a welcoming destination and a layered experience that reflects Austin’s energy and character. It was made possible through close collaboration across our design teams and with our construction partners at rand* construction corporation.

We left the event inspired by the exceptional projects shared by other firms and are proud to be part of such a talented design community. Congratulations to all the honorees — and to our colleague, Anissa Chettouh, who co-chaired a truly beautiful event!
