After a major fire at The Place, this building required a complete reconstruction. Our team demoed the structure down to the slab and rebuilt it from the ground up.

A project of this scale takes a lot of coordination, communication, and attention to detail from demolition through completion.

We’re proud of what our team accomplished at The Place and the progress made toward restoring the property.

And if you look closely, you’ll see the second damaged building in the background. That project is already in motion, and we’re looking forward to getting into the next phase of reconstruction soon!

Disaster recovery is about more than just rebuilding. It starts with acting quickly to protect the asset, minimize additional loss, and create a clear path toward reconstruction. When an emergency happens, every hour counts, and having a trusted general contractor ready to respond can make the difference between stabilizing a property quickly and allowing damage to worsen.

It has been a few weeks since a tornado caused significant damage to The Oasis student housing community near UTSA, and we continue to make progress preparing the property for reconstruction.

Our emergency response began within hours of the storm. Crews secured the site, installed temporary weather protection, and helped coordinate mitigation efforts to prevent further damage. Since then, temporary roofing, structural shoring, and ongoing mitigation have positioned the property for the next phase of recovery.
