Hydrilla south of ski shores is going through a pretty aggressive resurgence and is back to pre-flood levels in most areas. By the end of October we’ll see surfaced Hydrilla covering 80-100ft of water out from the shoreline in many area Is of the lake again. North of Cuernavaca park milfoil and Hydrilla are growing in strong again as well, specifically north of river place.
With the drawdown being canceled that changes the rest of the season for boating and Hydrilla management. If you were interested in benthic barriers and lakemats, please know the drawdown doesn’t make a difference for installing certain benthic barriers. We have installed LakeMat framed benthic barriers all over the lake all year long and they work great. I’ll attach some photos I took yesterday of mats that have been doing a great job keeping areas w**d free all summer.
