A dramatic new staircase ties it all together — and the lake views do the rest.

This 2,803 sq ft townhome was taken down to the studs and completely reimagined, with every level redesigned to frame sweeping views of Lake Austin and the iconic Pennybacker Bridge. Brass-capped railings, white paneled walls, and rich hardwood floors bring a timeless elegance that feels right at home on the water.

The South 5th Residence has earned Gold in the Detached Structure category of Qualified Remodeler's 2026 Master Design Awards.

Built where an underused carport once stood in Bouldin Creek, the 1,037-square-foot structure adds a golf simulator, wet bar, lounge, full bath, and a covered patio stepping down to an outdoor grilling and dining area. Custom steel windows, Accoya siding, stucco, and a steel trellis tie it to the main home while creating a private, secure entrance to the estate. Congratulations to our partners at FAB Architecture and Cami Wright Interiors.

The Spicewood Retreat has been named a 2026 National Chrysalis Award winner for Outdoor Living over $200,000.

Originally built in 2017 and expanded in 2024, this Hill Country dogtrot now includes a pool, a partially covered patio, a carport, and an outdoor kitchen inspired by Argentinian parrillas. Limestone, corrugated metal, and board-and-batten siding carry the character of the original house into the new structures. The result is one cohesive indoor-outdoor retreat. Congratulations to our partners at FAB Architecture and to the homeowners.

The best powder rooms leave a lasting impression — and this one at the South 5th Residence certainly delivers. Deep navy subway tile wraps the walls from floor to ceiling, while bold patterned wallpaper, globe sconces, a black vanity with brass hardware, and a mosaic tile floor come together to create a space that feels more like a jewel box than a bathroom. At Texas Construction Company, no room is too small to be extraordinary.

Where craftsmanship meets passion.

At the Turner Ranch Residence, even the details tell a story — exposed fir timber framing, handcrafted millwork, and a dedicated quilting space that reflects the client's love of the craft. This studio retreat overlooking Muleshoe Bend was built to be a place where art, music, and nature come together in perfect harmony.

Built for gathering — with a view to match.

The dining room at the Spicewood Retreat seats the whole crew, with a large wood table, classic bentwood chairs, and a wall of windows framing the wild Texas landscape beyond. Simple, honest materials and plenty of natural light make every meal feel like a occasion.

Great construction isn't just about the big picture — it's about what happens when you get close. The South 5th Residence features custom navy cabinetry with hand-detailed molding, brass-inset reeded glass doors, and a stunning blue granite countertop that echoes the color palette throughout. At Texas Construction Company, this level of craftsmanship isn't the exception — it's the standard.

A home office that means business — in the best possible way. Floor-to-ceiling oak paneling wraps the walls and ceiling of this Palomino Ridge study, creating a warm, immersive environment that's equal parts sophisticated and functional. A studded leather desk, brass fixtures, and custom built-ins with a slate work surface round out the space with carefully considered details. This is what happens when a 1990s spec house gets rebuilt from the ground up with intention — in collaboration with Carey Dodson Architecture + Design.

The South 5th Residence was designed for the art of entertaining. The golf simulator room flows seamlessly into a custom wet bar featuring brass open shelving, a mirrored backsplash, granite countertops, and floor-to-ceiling glass that frames the lush Austin landscape. From the simulator turf to the bar stool — every transition was thoughtfully designed and meticulously built by our team at Texas Construction Company.

Sleeping among the treetops.

The new upstairs addition at the Shoal Creek Residence was designed to bring the surrounding landscape inside — and this bedroom delivers exactly that. A floor-to-ceiling corner window frames a lush canopy of Austin oaks, turning the view into the focal point of the entire room.
