Carty Custom Builders is a locally based residential home builder that was forged out of the partnership of brothers Chris and Nate Carty. We have a reputation for building the highest quality homes and take great care to make the construction process as smooth as possible for clients and neighbors. Chris brings over 20 years of construction industry experience, including 9 years building custom h
omes in central Austin. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts in Post Soviet and Eastern European Studies and from George Washington University in 1997 with a Master of Arts in Russian. He has lived in Austin for nearly 20 years and currently lives in Hyde Park where he has restored several historic homes. Nate handles all banking and investment duties for the company. He spent 10 years working on Wall Street and 18 years overall in the finance industry before relocating back to Austin in 2015. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Journalism in 1998 and from Southern Methodist University with a Master of Business Administration in 2000. He is a CFA Charterholder. Nate has been active in the Texas Exes since 2003, first with the Dallas Chapter and then the New York Chapter. He served as President of the New York Chapter in 2007-2008 and has been a member of the Chapter Advisory Board since 2008. He served on the Texas Exes Board of Directors from July, 2015 to June, 2016. Carty Custom Builders is a member of the National Association of Home Builders, the Texas Association of Builders and the Home Builders Association of Greater Austin.
