“It makes you feel like you belong.” That’s how FSG Instructional Designer Joaquin Rivera describes the importance of recognizing Hispanic Heritage Month in the workplace.

Joaquin’s roots trace back to San Luis Potosí, Mexico, where his heritage shaped his values of hard work, family, and pride in what he does. In a recent conversation, he shared what his Hispanic heritage means to him and why feeling recognized, valued, and having opportunities to grow matter so much.

As Hispanic Heritage Month comes to a close, we celebrate the cultures, experiences, and contributions of our Hispanic team members across FSG. Their dedication and talents help shape who we are as a company, not just this month, but every day.

Did you know FSG has our own trade school?

The skilled trades need more people, and Propel Career Academy is how FSG is helping build that pipeline at locations across the nation. We're proud to announce we just graduated our latest welding cohort in San Antonio!

Over the last 10 months, these students spent hands-on time in the welding lab, working through NCCER Core and Welding Levels 1 through 4. They became family in the process, even taking time to get some "family photos" taken at JCPenney to commemorate their time together.

They leave us with industry-recognized credentials and the skills to step right into the workforce. Two of these graduates started new jobs immediately upon graduation, and the rest are already testing and interviewing with employers across the area.
